I can confirm Tab ordering does work now. EDIT: https://forums.stardock.com/521947/get;3899321 EDIT2: Although you still have to resave the group if you make changes to tab positions (or any other change for that matter)

The regroup problem has definitely been fixed.
lol Windows sandbox is by far the worse environment for testing anything other than text file creation. I have tested this in several VMware environments as well as freshly formatted metal. However for the sake of completeness I went ahead with sandbox anyway. It's nearly impossible to tell because it introduces other problems. For example just moving an explorer window around is so slow it takes "seconds" top catch up. on a side note I noticed start11 can't find sandbox when searchin
No I'm talking about the blue'ish Drop target window. The one that shows where the window will be once you "drop" it into the tab group. It appears when you begin a drop in my case by holding shift and dragging a window to the caption of another window in the group. Once you let go of the mouse button the new window is added to the group and that drop target window should be dismissed (closed, hidden, etc..) however most times it is not. Strangely enough I do not see the same shadowin
So after doing some more digging it turns out that having the tabs integrated works better. There is no more paint lag in the windows but moving them around you can see the tabs are slow to follow. I performed the test with no gfx drivers, windows 11 basic amd drivers, and amd's adrenaline driver package. same results except the no driver test was a little worse. The ghost window and regrab issue persists. I also uninstalled and reinstalled groupy 1. there were no issues with the ghos
As far as windows versions I've tested on 8 machines with either current windows 10 or current windows 11 depending on the machine. this one is w11 22621.2070 I do also test on insiders builds from time to time but I don't include those. My layout is currently 2 Vertical monitors. The top one is a 47" 4k @ 200% dpi the bottom one is a 32" 4k also at 200% dpi. The problem happens with any group of 2 or more windows of any kind from any application including, but not lim
As promised here's a vid of a few issues. 1. Pulling a tab out causes it to "Regrab". This occurs only the first time a tab is removed via the mouse. Removing the Same tab again appears to not do it. Removing another tab (that hasn't been removed once before) will regrab as well. This seems to only happen after the group has been launched. After a while (several minutes) it stops. 2. Resizing causes tons of lag and flickering. The windows in the vid are control heavy but
There are a lot of problems with resizing. And still have the issue with the ghost window. I'm at the end of my day so I'll make a few vids tomorrow.
But that reads as if you extend it "prior" to expiration not after.
What happens if you don't renew in time and then renew after your classic sub expires? Does it stay classic or do you have to renew prior to expiration to remain classic?
Thanks for the help mcLab.
Oh so we will be put on auto renew? That's going to be difficult for me.
Understood and I am definitely glad to hear it. Was kind of worried a bit. Still any word on auto renew? ALL my only purchases have always been done with burner cards. I load exactly what i need, make the purchase, and then a** can the card. No offense but sites get hacked hourly.
Ok so that is out-freakin-standing news. Can I also assume there will be no 'Auto renew' on the Classic subs?
I still think this is a bad idea but I'll toss out a few questions in case anyone happens to know. 1. I'm on a classic sub now will I at some point be required to use "auto renew" or will it remain classic forever (forever is apparently subjective). 2. If my 'classic' sub does expire will I also loose the ability to use various software and if so which ones? 3. Are there any perpetual single use licenses on a per key basis (even if updates are lost upon major releases)
I too have seen this happen but for me it's maybe 1 out every 100 times. It typically occurs after a reboot which admittedly I rarely do.
So my issue I reported before with the ghost window does still exist but it's very rare now. I can mitigate it every time by waiting a few seconds before releasing the mouse button. It must be a timing issue between my system and groupy. Never the less everything is working well. So I would like to make a wishlist for future versions. Some have already been suggested but here we go. 1. Option to turn off position/size restoration. I have an app that I group about 6 to 8 of into a sing
Am I missing something here? I believe most, if not all, of what you suggest already exists. You can choose to not have Start11 customize the taskbar. You can also adjust taskbar size, transparency, use custom texture images etc... If I misunderstood you please let me know.
Thank you Sean I'll get on it straight away EDIT: No I still have the same issue. The only way to mitigate it appears to be to use the "Always group windows..." option however I decided to try "Instantly group windows" instead of the waiting for 1 second and the problem occurs with that potion. It goes away only when using BOTH "Always group windows when moved on top of each other" and "Only group when the window has been held for at least one second". I'm not sure how
I can confirm it. You can still manage activations even after your OD sub has expired. My partners sub is expired. I was trying to install Groupy 2 on her machine to test with and realized we need to renew it. However it still let her go into activations.
Quoting Narusegawa Naru, reply 24 It occurs almost every time.
Thanks, I got it to reproduce the first two times I tried it (but the effect did not last very long), but never again in several dozen attempts. Try dropping it on restored windows and after the drop grab and move the window. The drop target is revealed (behind the group) at that point. Ill make a new video but youtube takes a minute EDIT: here's a video not sure if it's available yet
Sure thing the first snap is of msconfig prior to rebooting. the second is after reboot and running the batch file.
So after doing a clean boot I still have the same problem however it only happens when using the "Only while shift key is pressed" option. If I set it to "Always group" and "... held above for at least one second" options It doesn't happen. As a side note the GroupyStart.bat file failed with an error about no devices that use it ... I simply reendabled Only the groupy service in msconfig and rebooted again. It does seem the issue is related to the usage of any modifiers.
