Well, I have 4 that I check every day, 4 more that I check every week, and about 14 (at least) that feed into the 4 that I check every day.

In other words, too many

I'm trying to use only one email account, but at the moment, I have three: my MSN mail account, a MyRealBox mail account, and a mail account for my domain. Actually, I also have a Netscape one as well as a Yahoo! one, but I never use those ones.

MyRealBox can be a pain, at least they're up more often now. I mourn the passing of all those free POP3 email services. There's still all those HTTP based services, but they're slooow

Let's see, 1 at work, 1 at my ISP, 1 at each of my 2 domains, and my dreaded MSN spam box. I guess that makes 5.

I have 3, one for the house, one for the road (Lap Top), and my work one.

Well..... I have a lot of hotmail accounts (they used to come with 30mb storage).

I have a MSN account that I cannot rid of spam so I don't use that.

I have a real account that I pay for that gives me a LOT of storage, and the ability to create aliases (aliei?.... er... other names, still me). I use an alias to submit in forms when I need to, I use another for public display, and I have a private one that only friends know. They are all the same, only the friendly one gets to come to my house, though. The rest are web-based.

2 standard, one hotmail. I had spam licked until they started suspending accounts at hotmail after 30 days. Now I have to use a real account for my domain registrations.. all those lurvly dolts and their robots...

I have 4, but I lost my spamcatcher account when bangkok.com just dumped their email service. one defunct yahoo account laying around somewhere.

Hum, lets see.
I have one for work, one for home. Another one for my own little company I'm starting up.
Finally for SPAM purposes I have a Hotmail account that I use for some of my trusted online things (like here) and finally a Yahoo account that I really just give out at large whenever a web site asks for my email. I get about 200 emails a day on that account, and they are ALL junk mail.

So I guess that makes up 5.

Well, don't mind my two cents please, but I have eliminated all but one email account which gets virtually no spam whatever thanks to the filters my ISP uses. I also don't give my address to anyone that isn't absolutely necessary and if I need to give it to someone I have doubts about I use an alias account.
Knock on wood, but I've been awfully lucky for many months now. Just one spam mail that I can think of in all of that time. Well, that probably just killed my luck....

Someone on this message board has a virus and has been sending it to me daily. If you'eve ever emailed me, PLEASE do a virus scan.

I don't have the virus, but I'm getting tired of cleaning it out of my inbox every morning.

My Antivirus program kills any viruses before the email is downloaded to my computer.

It also prevents me from sending out an email that has a virus attached...

I have about three dozen, but most of them are 'special' addresses, created on the fly for SpamGourmet, which offers an unlimited number of free email addresses to use for such things as web forums, online ordering, etc. They all get forwarded to a single account, though. http://www.spamgourmet.com/index.cgi

As for accounts I use actively, probably four. Two from my ISP, one from MyRealBox and one from SpamCop. Just about everything gets forwarded through SpamCop, though, so it's not like I have to check a bunch of different accounts.

i have about 4 email accounts, 2 of them are hounded by spam so i use those for online ordering and i have 1 isp and one from onebox when they are free that i cannont cancel and keeps sending crud to my isp email, how they got it is beyond me but, now that you have to pay for onebox you can access your old accounts to delete them which means i have a perminent spam filter

Jobeleca: To get this stopped you are going to need to do a bit of fact finding. If you look at the message source of one of the mails you should be able to identify what IP address it is actually coming from. If you then do a traceroute on it you should be able to discover the ISP of the user. Let them know what has been going on and they should be able to track down who it was and let them know that their PC may be infected. A good website with a visual traceroute is http://www.visualroute.com Just enter the ip address and press enter to see where in the world the source was. You can also get information about the isp once it has tracked down the source.
