Ease up on the ban hammer

Seriusly the amount of posts u guys lock and delete without informing creator, not giving reason at all why you do that is quite disturbing. Many people would at least want to know what they did wrong to avoid doing it in future posts (obviusly said somethin that frogboy dosnt like). Modern day censorship in very bad edition.

Isatari posted: "The Demigod forum is not an official support venue." I dont see any other link to forum/support on OFFICIAL demigod website. More then that on GPG support site for demigod it says: "Stardock is your primary source for Demigod technical information. The technical support forum can be found here [link to this forum]".

More then that GPG forum has anoucment saying: " we are requesting that everyone start migrating to the official demigod forum
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/ "

More then that Atari website and forum dosnt even mention demigod at all. No sites/links at all

More then that cover of the box has address to this website (bet you manual does too i just cant find it)

Everywhere i turn i hear this is an official demigod forum. So i do belive owning a copy of this game gives you right to post questions, topics u want to discuss, issues that you come upon, things that you want to see fixed.

IF I AM WRONG please post any link to offical support forum/website, and remove link to this forum or name it FunsForum

I am right :

-Can you be more civilized with ur locking/deleting posts policy. Write a reson why u perform given action (even if it will be "frogboy didnt like ur post se we deleted it")

-Can you start banning 'real' comunity damagers = people who exploit/hack this game. Over 10% of hosted games will exploited/hack if host will loose. 75% of 1v1 games are hosted by people who hack/exploit the game. Forum and hall of shame are filled with requests to investigate/ban (with screenshots, replays, video footage).

-If you too 'busy' to ban people maybe u can create some power accounts so selected players can give 3 or 7 days bans to people who are suspect beyond dubt that they exploit/hack games. This will provide solution til you find time to deal with them.

-Inform users who get posting priviliges removed, posts deleted/locked why exacly they did wrong so in future they can avoid making same mistake twice. coz replays like 'Go away' (made by frogboy when he banned me) dosnt really point/mean anything

Last thing. Guys stop complaing that comunity is soo bad, rude, intolerant, toxic. Well first of all u get what you give so start looking what u giving us:

-right now this game has no issues whatsoever (all isuses that you are expieriencing are caused by ur old computer, poor net connection or other users)

-this no forum that provide technical support (if this one is not it there is nothing else)

-the game have no issues, all characters and items are well balanced so no more patches is required (it wasnt required in first place)

-if u post something u dont like we will ban you (we got shit load of scouts who tell us about every new post to be banned)

-if u dont like it leave it

-we will forget about this game when we start working on Elemental (frogboy himself many times admited he prefers to make new money making product then support something that wont likely bring any more profit)

Please spend fev minutes anserwing those questions:

-will send post makers a message which explains why their posts are being locked/deleted

-will you start banning exploiters/hackers with weekly or pernament bans

-will you consider creating powerusers accounts so they can temporary ban hackers/exploiters until stardock/gpg employe will investigate the case futher.

So far, I am still sided with SD on what they lock. I have yet to see a lock or delete that didn't deserve it. Perhaps SD should do a better job of letting the OP know why they were locked or banned, but in about 99% of the instances I would wager that the OP knows exactly what they did (i.e. flame fest, non-civil, etc). I would actually be a proponent of SD locking, banning more threads.

I also feel like your final point is not valid ("Guys stop complaing that comunity is soo bad, rude, intolerant, toxic. Well first of all u get what you give so start looking what u giving us") as SD has never said that no more problems exist. I strongly feel that the problem is not SD (I will not vouche for GPG though) and so they should not be targeted, especially since a major portion of the blame lies with the community.

As with any game, the manual gives you various ways to contact help. The PDF manual gives you the forums in addition to an email address. The retail manual probably gives a phone number as well. Even when you ask for help around here, the mods will usually redirect you to support@stardock.com. In other words, the forums are not the main means of getting technical help. The forums are simply here to make your life easier. But since there are more direct sources of help that are readily made available, you are not entitled to them.

So... comunity made connection problems, community didnt hotfix TB AA with already made mod and we also to blame for netcode behind the game right? Thats what you mean? On the other hand. You really think people would complain if we would get game as well prepared as LOL (i only put it here coz its same genre) i mean they have stuff in betta that we missing in our full version. Check their forums, see if its that toxic like this one.

One of the best ways to get support. There are others, such as their email address or phone number, both of which are listed on the main website under customer service: https://www.stardock.com/support/customer_service.aspx or in the manual.

And seeing as how many people are redirected to support@stardock.com, yet few if any post back saying they didn't get a reply, I'll take your comment with a grain of salt.

As I said in my post, SD never claimed to have a perfect game. This, however, does not excuse the A-holes on the forums. So yes, the toxic atmosphere IS the fault of the community. I'm not blaming the community for the game problems, nor SD (they aren't responsible, GPG is), and I apologize if that is what my post sounded like. I am purely blaming the shitty atmosphere that seems to pervade this forum on the community. Unfortunately, like this game, life isn't perfect, but it can be enjoyable if one tries to enjoy it... people need to grow up, stop complaining ALL the damn time, get over their elitist, entitled attitudes, and enjoy what they get.

The support email address (support@stardock.com) is provided in the game manual and is the official venue for support, as it provides a ticket tracking system. Forum threads are easily forgotten or steered off topic.

Most threads that have been locked recently have been due to doomsaying or trolling, in which case it is generally obvious that's why it was locked. In such cases there's really no need to dignify such posts with a response (as they're flamebait to begin with, doing so would only serve to entertain the trolls).

Sending repeated mails before you get a response only serves to perpetually push your ticket to the end of the queue. Patience will get you an answer sooner, as the queue sorts by the oldest ticket first; any action from either end makes it "new" again. This is the fairest system to ensure that people who have waited the longest get answered first.

Removing someone's access to actual gameplay is a far more serious measure than removing them from the forums, and is not something that can be done lightly. Giving players the power to do so, even temporarily, is completely out of the question.

so start banning them. Does anyone ever go thru Hall of shame anymore? You asked to post names with screen shots in order to ban them. So whats stopping you guys? So far 2 guys who get banned only because they hack frogboy game, they were still playin under diffrent names. Seriusly no other game treat hackers so lightly, especially multiplayer oriented game. While u here could also anserw one question: "will send post makers a message which explains why their posts are being locked/deleted"?

Well mine last post was deleted too. And in anyway it was no trolling etc etc. it was simply comparing 2 games and network systems behind them. Post was made in well bahved manner so does all replies, except ZenDon who start swearing at me. So please explain me what made that post deserve to be deleted?

I didn't swear - I decribed your personality traits using words such as "idiotic" and "moronic", which judging from your posts in this thread is about as accurate as anyone can get without putting together a psychological profile. Ok, I know I am the last person who should ever call someone out on gramar, but what does that even mean? You are missing the point all together; don't complain because SB are not running this forum the way you think it should be run. If you want than you can always go out and create an unofficial Demigods forum. There you can do and say whatever you want about the game and/or SB without risking ban. There isn't always going to be a public and a private forum, and honestly why would someone waste time making both?

What I see is not people trying to be helpful or constructive, but destructive with the same posts over and over again. You can yell DoTA, or LOL; but guess what? This is demigod, you are playing demigod and not DoTA or Lol. If you want something similar to thus set up than go play those actual games, and leave DG alone.
