UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

I have been having problems with WindowBlinds, received no help on the forums, and still nothing from support in spite of the fact that they requested my DxDiag file (which I sent).

About half the time when I boot up the taskbar and all the menus are transparent. My workaround is to have a desktop icon for WindowBlinds next to my Start button. When this happens I have to launch WindowBlinds and re-apply my settings. This does not make me happy and it's getting very old.

Also, on some programs I use, the scrollbars aren't working correctly, when I drag the button down the scrollbar, I have to drag the mouse off the button to the RIGHT only, if I leave it on the button or (God forbid) move it into the application, the button jumps back up to it's original location. this will drive you quite insane in about an hour, trust me.

I'm about to uninstall and trash this program. It's pretty - when it works. Too bad this problem didn't show up before I paid money for it, I never would have bought it. If I could get a refund right now I would, good luck with that.

There was a suggestion in the forum on your previous post suggesting you install Stardock Central and getting the latest Windowblind update. Perhaps this would solve your issue.

If you e-mailed Support already, can you tell us what the support ticket number is? (XXX-123456)

highlander;

Support ticket number = #TSP-405134

Hankers;

1) I do not want to add additional bloatware to my system just to get your program to run. Is Stardock Central a required component of WindowBlinds? Didn't think so.

2) If you peruse your own forums you might notice that other people are having the same or similar problems with the latest release of WindowBlinds. Version number is not the issue.

I would have no problem contributing positively to the community if this was open source or freeware. But in the rare event that I buy a program, I expect it to have been completely debugged and work trouble-free right out of the box. Send me a refund and erase me from your forums, and you'll never see me again.

The forums are user supported. You made one post and blew off what was suggested to you.......after that it's unlikely anyone else would make an effort.

I do not want support, I want a refund. I realize the chances of that are pffft.

Not very happy.

Chazcon: Where are these people having the same problem as you with WB?

Yet, we still try...

There is no such thing as a 'bug-free' program. Stardock Central is not 'bloatware' and is the main program for updating Stardock applications.

I am VERY sorry to hear that you are an "unhappy customer". I have had issues before with stardock Apps and NEVER had an issue with "support". I always got help when I needed it.
I have all the Apps installed and Everything works fine.

and No Stardock Central is NOT required to make Windowsblinds run BUT it is a great App that helps keep Whatever Stardock apps you might have installed Updated...

I use SDC for updating only and launch it occasionally to see if theres any thing new.. other than that it dont run.. SDC is like updaters for antivirus progs etc, It is used for updating easily and smoothly ,and is not required to run constantly...

You can take the help offered or not .. its your choice..

I am SO done with StarDock. Enjoy the 20 bucks, maybe use it to invest in some programming classes.

You can delete all my posts, that will keep the fanbois happy.

Have a nice life.

This kinda thread makes me worry about the direction Stardock's taken the last few years. It proves that you CAN NOT Idiot Proof customization software.

He admitted that at one time the software worked just fine...........and then suddenly out of the clear blue.......it ruined his life. Must be the time delayed detonation device implanted in the code.

Chazcon, please see reply #9 for refund information.
Before you do that, please note that both the Stardock support staff (Highlander) and the dev (Neil) are trying to assist you (in spite of your apparent lack of effort to assist).

I hope you get what you want out of this.  For what it's worth . . everyone here is trying to make you a satisfied customer.  we can only do so much though.

If you are, in fact, done here then you won't ever see this post  . . too bad.

Oh I wouldn't worry. I've had issues with this very same person before, in a completely different forum. Ironically in my case it was FREE software and he was complaining it didn't work right-out-of-the-MSI (which is funny, because he just said that if it were free software he'd expect bugs).

Just ignore him, I did. Alternatively, ban him. That worked for me too.
