Yes, I see that might be confusing. I'm trying to remember 8 weeks ago when I first posted that 'only a few of them are grouped'. I do remember having 6-8 windows and only a few were grouped at that time. But lately, the past several weeks I've only had about 4-5 DOpus windows open and they never group. For a test, I'll open 10 windows and keep them open on reboot and see if a few do get grouped. 2nd - I guess it's not just on boot. I am used

Strange thing is... if I just click the 3 dots and select 'Add to Group, it works fine. It groups all the windows.. It's just the 'automatically' feature that doesn't work. (also the other problems listed OP above.)
Thanks sdRohan, But why does the 'Add to Group' / 'All ungrouped windows from 'dopus.exe' work?? It groups them all fine?? Yes, please look at this. I have all the same issues as in this post from 3 years ago. If you could get it to automatically group, and also if possible, fix the small windows being grouped. (see link above) Copy/Move popups sometimes (not always) are added to the
Basj, Has there been anyone even looking into this?? I bought Groupy mainly for grouping Directory Opus windows, but it won't Automatically do it! Every time I boot up, my previous Directory Opus windows appear, but are not grouped. If your Tech Support would just download the Free Trial of Directory Opus and try Automatically Grouping them, I'm sure they could figure out what Groupy
I like Groupy very much, but working with Directory Opus while automatically grouping all dopus.exe windows doesn't work as smooth as it could be. Since I'm using Directory Opus very intensively, I have chosen to group all dopus.exe windows. This works fine when I open saved lister layouts, but new listers opened via "File > Open New Lister" aren't grouped automatically. <br
I've just tried to save Directory Opus windows in various groups. No matter what group is opened, they open without a Directory Opus tab. I searched online, and someone mentioned this earlier in the forum - but no one responded to them. Hoping the StarDock team can look into this, because Directory Opus is a Windows Explorer replacement & critical software.
Hey Famshoppa, I also <a href="https://for
Keeping an eye on this thread, but nothing is happening.. I noticed today that when I click on the 3 dot button and then click on 'Add to Group', the menu says 'All ungrouped windows of class 'dopus. lister ' . ". Maybe that is why Groupy will not Automatically Group dopus.exe windows together??
This has been happing since I got Groupy a year ago.. And I'm tired of fixing them every time I start my pc. I usually have several Directory Opus windows open when I shutdown, and when I boot up, only a few of them are grouped, and a few others are not. I do have the checkbox checked to 'Automatically group dopus.exe windows together'. And dopus.exe is in the Settings\Application Grouping list. Is there something at Windows Startup that is
Thanks for the reply Jan. I have already done both of your suggestions and they did not help. But I got it fixed today when I booted up.. I have Directory Opus 11 and I've read that it can cause this issue. I went through all of it's Folder settings and tried changing some things, but nothing helped. So I decided to disable DOpus from starting with Windows so I could see if it actually was the culprit. Today when I booted up I forgot that I had done that,
Thanks, I did restore several backups even back into December, but it made no difference.
This just started happening today. I have Folder Portals on my desktop. A double-click on a subfolder icon would open that folder in the current fence, but it doesn't work anymore. It always opens a Windows Explorer window to the subfolder. I have turned off 'Allow Navigation' for the Fences and turned it back on and it doesn't make any difference. However, if I right-click on the subfolder icon, and select 'Open', it opens the subfolder within the current Fenc
Thanks for the reply. I've been using DF and Fences for years (with a fence under the DF Taskbar slide-out. With no problems. Is there a way that I can reinstall the last version of Fences before 3.1.3 from Steam?
Edition Windows 10 Home Version 21H1 Installed on 7/11/2021 OS build 19043.1348 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0 I also use Display Fusion, and I have it's Taskbar on a second monitor set to Auto-Hide. When it slides out it becomes semi-transparent even though I have the DF Transparency setting set to 100% full opaque. I have been in contact with them for over a week. And we both feel that the problem may b
Thanks. Yes, I rebooted and log into my main Admin account. It has almost nothing installed under it. I did have Fences running on the desktop, and it worked fine! No pausing at Fence borders. So, I logged into my account an stopped Groupy, Powertoys, and DisplayFusion. But that's didn't help. I can't think of anything else that might be affecting the desktop. I did noticed that Groupy was updated to 1.5 a few weeks ago. And it's been ha
No, that didn't help. Can I revert to the previous version to test this?
This seems to have started a few weeks ago. I think Fences was updated also a few weeks ago. When I am dragging an icon from a fence or File Explorer, my cursor pauses for about 1/8 of a second at each fence border. And I have many fences. Sometimes, and I don't know why, it causes a release of the dragging, and the icon ends up somewhere that I did not intend. I had to search my entire pc last week to find a file it had dropped. I have run the PURGE an
Thanks, that works great!
Is there any command in a Fences Folder Portal that I can assign to my mouse's back button??? I use the Mouse Back Button to go back to previous Folders in the Folder Browser, and back to previous webpages in my Web Browser. Isn't this possible in Fence's Folder Portal? Thanks
Fences just asked me to update to 3.08 and it fixed the icon lag problem!! Change Log: UPDATE: Performance optimization for desktops with large icon counts I guess that's me! I have a triple screen with over 400 icons i
Just bought Fences 3.0 from Stardock because with my Steam version I couldn't install earlier versions. v3.03 did not fix the problem for me. I did notice that by using my keyboard arrows, I can move around selecting the icons on my desktop very fast. Then, using the mouse it's very, very slow as this thread has stated. So, I am wondering if it is a mouse issue? Drivers? Mouse Settings conflict? I shut down my Logitech Gaming software, and disable

Wow, this thread started last April!? Not promising... Well, I've had this problem for a long time, and finally am trying to resolve it. I just found this thread after posting a support ticket and getting no response, and then starting my own thread.. Now I'm glad I found this thread that says something about it. I have tried the disable Intel r-click graphics menu fix since I have an on-board graphics on my mobo that I am using. And I also have a nVidi
I have a very fast computer. But when I click from one icon to the next on my desktop it takes about 2 seconds for each to change. So, if I click on 5 icons it can take 10 seconds to select thru them all. I've been dealing with this for a long time. I I found the Disabled Fences checkbox last week and tested without Fences enabled, and my desktop ran very FAST!!
Ok, thanks. That does help. It clears up my confusion about #3 because if that is how it works, then it is not working for me. Here is a screenshot of my desktop. You can see that I have several windows snapped to the bottom of my upper monitor, and they all have rolled up. I moved my mouse over the one called 'Controller Layouts' and it has unrolled for me. And in the Fences Settings window you can see that I do not have that #3 Option checked to roll up
