EDIT: NEVER MIND THIS QUESTION. I found this menu when right-clicking programs from the 'All Apps' menu from the top/right of the Start11 page. ___________________________________________________________________________________ I just bought Start11 a few days ago, and have been customizing the menu. At one point I was able to right-click a group of icons and there was an opti

The only option that I see for this in the Settings is the 'Block / allow applications'. It has a list where you can add your apps. And a checkbox to 'Only allow specified applications to be in a Group'. Am I to assume that if that checkbox is unchecked, then Groupy will Block the list of apps from Groupy grouping them? It's weird that there are not just two radio buttons(mutually exclusive). (o) All
No, but I did uncheck it and it just hides the icons like when you double click the desktop, correct? And it appears that unchecking 'Always show icons at startup' does not turn off showing icons on the desktop at start. It only has the effect, if it is checked, to uncheck that 'Show desktop icons' menu item on start. So, if it's unchecked, it does nothing at all. How about if 'Always show icons at startup' is un checked, then at st
This option is on the 'Quick-Hide' tab for some reason. I have this option unchecked. But it still shows all my fences/icons on startup.

Does Groupy 2 allow you to Tile windows within it? Or do anything like that so I can view multiple tabs at the same time?
Yes, it was on. When I turned it off, the problem was fixed. I could see the text when editing. So, is there a fix for this? Or do I just always have to have HDR off? Thanks.
I first noticed this about 4-5 days ago. When I try to rename a file that is within a Folder Portal Fence, the text is all dark, or invisible, and the background is also. So it is impossible to read. Here is a short video of it.. I have uninstalled F4 and reinstalled it. Tried changing some display/color/fade/transparency settings. Nothing worked.
Ok. Thanks.
No, I don't have WindowBlinds.
I also noticed this problem a few days ago. Here is a short video of it.. I have uninstalled F4 and reinstalled it. Tried changing some display/color/fade/transparency settings. Nothing worked.
Thanks for the reply. But that also makes the windows dimmer when I Mouse over them. I want them barely visible on the desktop until the mouse moves over then. Then I want them to be much more visible. So I think I can only achieve that with the opacity going lower?
We have 0, 20 , 40, 60, 80, and 100%.. But I would like my fences to be even less than 20%. I have them set to Fade In when I mouse over. But I would like them less visible when not in use. Like maybe 10 or 5%..

It could be that the full path and longest filename might be exceeding the default 255 characters that Windows has (but this can be changed to increase this limit). Ok, I got the error again today when I was in a Folder Portal. When I have drilled down into a subfolder, and press Alt+Left Arrow (or click the up arrow on the titlebar) to to back to the parent folder, Wham!! That does it. I've tested this several times, and it only does it on one Folder Portal. I have 3 Folder Portals on my desktop and they work fine. The Folder Portal that does this is called 'Cities Skylines', where I keep some pics and notes. So I d
Thanks for the reply Sean. Yesterday, after about 3 hours I think I have fixed it. I first backed this up, then I just deleted this registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Fences I started Fences again, and it acted like a new installation of it. (uninstalling the app and reinstalling didn't do that) So it asked me if I wanted to have it automatically group icons, and I said yes, and it worked!! My 231 icons were group in 3 Fences.
v3.1.3.3 Windows 10 Ok, unfortunately I have just joined this club. Today, my power went out for a split second and then back on. When I booted up my pc I started getting this error: 'Fences has detected that Windows was not closed down properly......' I have reinstalled Fences twice. When I try to Re-Enable Fences my desktop flashes 3 times, then that message, and then half of my systray apps are gone. I lose my audio and other stuff on my
Thanks for the reply. DOpus windows will not 'automatically' group (among other things). But it will group if I select the menu item 'Add to Group'. So they are actually looking into that right now for me. It groups them from the menu, but not automatically? That makes no sense.. So, Groupy can obviously group them, but there is something wrong with the 'automatic' process.. Also, I can Save DOpus windows/listers as a Group. But there
Thanks! For testing you could use the Directory Opus 12 Free Trial. And this is not a new issue. There is a post (above) from 2019.
I agree about on boot. But as you can see in the video, I shut down Dopus in the Systray while Windows was running. And tested just starting Dopus (not from boot). And it still does not group them. So, as you said before, let's forget the boot scenario. Groupy just won't group Dopus Automatically. But it will group them if I use the Add to Group menu! So, why? <p st
Well I don't think anyone would use the Saved Groups with DOpus because it doesn't save the path for each window. It just opens a default window. And that is of no real use. I am confused.. You keep mentioning " Groupy cant tell that they are unique , it wont do it." But it DOES group t
