I haven't had your problem in a long time.I would repost under stardock support as there may be a problem in your registry. It's easy to fix It's just I'll be danged if I can remember what the fix is. But I do know they helped me.
I just noticed if i look at the ABOUT screen, (in pro) i no longer see a detailed version number.. or ANY #.. is it just me? Sorry but I got a number. but if it makes you feel any better my screen went dead on sign in from a bad pool header lol.Thats life always something going on. :LOL:
Hi, I'm not sure but I don't believe Object Bar supports gadjets.If your useing the Import Widjet Function and don't have the import as read only button checked it should work fine,I think, mine does.You may have some corrupt themes try rebuilding them under new names.and then delete the originals because the corruption could be in the folders themselves. I'm not a big ObjBar user, but I have had Dx Builder issues with it probably caused by me.But that was long ago.And

Hi, I've never tried it personally.But, I can tell you this,each object has, two, shall I say parts,the scipting section is written to separately.I think that might be a good way to put it. In other words I would define all the states in the scripting section if I needed DX to pick up on them. Sorry I'm not better at codeing. Eddie

I had it a long time ago and the version I had stored the notes on your local drive or gave you a prompt I forget now. but if you wish to find them,try this; Create a new note called biffs dilema or whatever. Then do a search for it. It should turn up a file in the same location with a similar name. good luck
I was thinking about object on top and script control.I came to this conclusion.If you create object a set at normal, duplicate it, set at ontop, then, control visibility any way you wish, and, you should be good to go. Hi I think I can see where your headed for.I would use hidden objects to add these variables,Then use on mouse up messages to call whatever variable I wanted to use. (Button 1) wants to hide (group a) and show (group b)and other objects also wish to also. So create (hidden object 1)It's set to hide (group a)as an object controller and create (hidden object 2)It's set to hide (group b)as an object controller then send a (Mouse up) mess

You can add a show the windows taskbar and start menu item to your theme should work. Make a new object,then click on the add button under aditional abilities,then,choose Start menu 2.You can make it a text object or an image object.It saves unloading Dx and when you switch from build to client mode I lose my Dx Icons,So,It helps return easy access to them. I thought of this the other day,because I used to just add the file as a custom file and then add controls to open it,then something changed and that stopped working.So I came up with save the top desktop as a gadjet.Then add the gadjet as a custom file and then create your controls to open it. P.S. haven't tried it yet but it should work with no nameing problems as both desktops would technically still be separate. I was trying to come up with a way to add different

I had a problem in the latest release where Dx wasn't working corectly.Not the same problem as your's but still not identified. The thing is SDC downloads page wasn't loading right and Dx wasn't working right,so I put all my downloads in a new folder inside of the downloads folder of SDC to fix it. The weird thing was this fixed both issues. I don't have a clue as to if this was just my machine or what but it can't hurt to look at yours for the same t
you probably have an error in your dx current theme folder.C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX\CurrentTheme. If you delete all content and reload a theme should be fine. I'm not positive but I beleive you have a bad widget trying to load.If it's true just delete everything in your current theme folder and then load a new desktop and it should work. Switch to DX builder and right click on add your game here then clone it.Then right click on it again but this time choose properties from the menu,then go through your objects properties to adjust it for your needs.
The latest updates fixed all buffer problems.Found a lot wrong in netscape though.After I repaired those files all was fine.It was weird because I don't use Netscape myself but my application's must have been calling on it.
I don't have vista and I also have trouble. I get an error MCP is missing or invalid. The windows version is fine but my Dx one won't or can't load.But everything else is way better.I still need to install windowblinds 6,the update,I'm going to try it tonight.I was hopeing Object bars new update was going to fix it when i saw the MCP files going in. If the new windowblinds doesn,t do it I'm going to reinstall Dx 3.0 fresh from disk and then update. I hope any of this is useful
I managed to find the other problem file it was in the registry under current user > stardock > common > startup manager. I hope I'm rid of it now. I couldnt add to my other post. There was no reply box? weird but no problem.
I tried useing this version but the summary tab was still not showing the seperator bars and looked like a list veiw. but I didn't check it for other problems, because SD central failed to download anything so I unloaded it. I'm Running 3.2 for now. Just thought I'ld put this up here because I'm not sure what to do. might be my system only I have no idea. thanks again
