Hi Basj, Roger that. THANKS, mate! :D Sincerely, Trigo

Hi, When I'm away from my desk (not ENOUGH ;) ) my laptop screen's height is at a premium for Start 11. The more the better. Is there any registry value I can modify to make this bottom row to be as short as possible? Losing the padding above and below the icons as much as possible. Sincerely, Trigo
Hi Basj, Ah! YES! To our company's intranet. And, there were a few others that perhaps needlessly poll the PC itself internally - maybe? Deleted now. Fingers crossed. I'll post results. THANK YOU for the GOOD ADVICE! :D Sincerely, Trigo
Hi Basj, Ah! Bad link. ;) :P Found it here: https://www.wikihow.com/Disable-Animations-in-Windows-10 And, off already. Any others to optimize? Sincerely, Trigo
Windows 10.
Hi Basj, None that I can think of. Are there any settings I can change overall that may increase performance? Bells and whistles that may be on by default but that are not critical? Before I was using Win 7 and we turned off animations - that helped. Anything like that for Win 11? Sincerely, Trigo
Hi, Using Win 11 Style, 5 rows, 11 columns, occasionally the panel will just freeze. So that, clicking the Win key neither closes or opens the panel - it just STAYS open, covering most of the screen. Sadly, it often happens when I'm trying to SHOW somebody a file, or discussing what's on my screen. Needless to say, that's an inconvenience because it covers most of the screen and leave me frantically clicking around. What do you think is happening? S
Soooooooooo AWESOME! JUST what I needed. THANK YOU! :))))))))))))))))))))))))
Hi Basj, Ah! Of course. Yep. That make sense! The Win 11 layout is REALLY slick. Well-done! And, many thanks for the kind and detailed support. When I see how well you support your products I feel impressed. Thank you, Basj & Stardock team! :))))))))))))))))))) Sincerely, Trigo
Hi, In Win 11 style there is this row at the bottom. Is there any way to suppress it? So that it just doesn't show? The goal being a less-tall overall display. Sincerely, Trigo
WOW! That is COOL! Seems like y'all thought of just about EVERYTHING! OUTSTANDING! :)))))))))))) Sincerely, Trigo
In Win 11 style setting we see: But, if the search bar is hidden...how DO you search? :D Put another way - I'd LIKE to hide the search bar to save space, but I can't see HOW I CAN search once it is hidden? Sincerely, Trigo
Hi Basj, Thank you. I follow. It would be a useful feature for me. Encourage its addition, if possible, please. :D Sincerely, Trigo
Hi, Is there some setting within the Start 11 - Windows 11 Style that will keep Pinned items alphabetized? So that, whenever they are added, or removed, they automatically place themselves in alphabetical order? Thanks! Sincerely, Trigo
Hi Basj, Got it. Roger that. Is it the same for all the layouts? Thanks! :D Sincerely, Trigo
Hi Neil, Ah! Got it. Thanks. I'll give it a go. Encourage you to build the higher numbers into the app, perhaps with a warning? Maybe second screen? Or, even an undo in x seconds? Diving into the registry USUALLY means backing UP the registry - which is always a bit of a chore. I don't think I've ever actually re-imported an saved registry, now that I think of it. Just would be nice to have the option somehow insi
Hi, Using Start 11 - Win 7 layout there's a wee > symbol on each icon and mousing on to any icon immediately opens the recent files list. Is there any way to suppress this? So that there's JUST the icons themselves, and click to open the app? For me, there's often a bit of a lag between when that list populates and when I can click on the icon. For me, SEEING those recent files, while SOMEWHAT valuable, isn
Hi, Seems like the Win 7 & 10 version max number of columns is 8. Is that right? If yes - is there any way to go higher than that? Sincerely, Trigo
Thanks, Basj! Hello @c242 ! :) Seems like that's the For either you or good Basj: how many rows of start icons can you have in the Windows 11 style you're using there. Am I right? If yes - do either of you know if it is possible to have MORE than two rows of Start items? Sincerely, Trigo
Hi, 1920x1080 is correct. 10 to 7 to 10 to 7 would...fry my poor wee brain a bit. It's hard enough to do the work that I have to do without greeting a new computer wherever I go! ;) Is there any array of options you can think of that that would give me something like this in BOTH displays.&
Hi Basj, Got it. Not sure if I'll give the own image a go as...it would take a good wee while to do that, eh? I feel confused. At the default laptop screen size: Sure...I have a HUGE monitor on my desktop but...the RATIO should be nearly the same so, right? Shouldn't the same thing appear on the laptop screen?
Hi Basj,' Any way to lose the left column? So I can have ONLY tiles? Any setting to make these tile ICON IMAGES bigger? The huge space around each one seems visually inefficient. Sincerely, Trigo
Hi, Using the upgraded Start 11 on a Win 10 device - when the laptop's screen alone is used, no external monitors attached, Start 11 can't fit. Top gets cut off. Screen is too huge in Modern Style. Tried to copy your Win 7 (?) style settings as illustrated - anything higher than 56 seems to generate an error - with ONLY two rows (14) shown across the top, and the first row itself is cut off. App works fine when HUGE external monitors are attac
Hi, So far, so good! Nice set of new features and performance. Is there a user guide, or perhaps a list of ALL settings? Rather than clicking them all open to see what's inside each It'd be neat to just have them listed alphabetically just so we could see what's possible. Great work on a USEFUL new app, Stardock crew! :))) Sincerely, Trigo
Found it! Let me try for a few hours with this new setting, and I'll let you know how things go. Sincerely, Trigo
