Hi,
Seems like the Win 7 & 10 version max number of columns is 8. Is that right?
If yes - is there any way to go higher than that?

If you change the registry key TileColCount here Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8 in the registry then you can set it bigger for Win7 and Modern looks. 8 is the limit in the config UI however.
You would need to sign out / in again after changing and not touch the config UI for that setting again or it will reset.
For Win11/Win10 menus this isn't used and the size of the menu is controlled by you resizing the menu itself. There is no 8 limit here.

Encourage you to build the higher numbers into the app, perhaps with a warning?
Maybe second screen? Or, even an undo in x seconds?
Diving into the registry USUALLY means backing UP the registry - which is always a bit of a chore. I don't think I've ever actually re-imported an saved registry, now that I think of it. Just would be nice to have the option somehow inside the program itself.
