hehe nice zubaz. fwiw v1.0 won't include any kind of skinning, it's aim was designed around simplcity & usability with simple/clean good looks ; you can tint the areas a uniform different color & change their uniform opacity, but no per-group settings and no skinning/changing it from "shaded areas" to something more fancy/graphical. look for that in the 2.0 :) wrapped up on other projects right now, you may have heard some press about that whole Dell Dock thingamabobber and that Impulse

So not ready to do any announcing/previewing today, however, i DID notice that today happens to be the one-year anniversary of this thread  So in honor, I'll at least leak a tiny touch of details on our new product, "Desktop Fences" :) Available as a private-invite beta in the next month or so, Fences will work on XP and Vista (compatible with both x86 and x64 on Vista). Hoping to get the website up and running in the next few weeks in order to commence the mouth-watering ;) Oh an

Latest update, just to show a tiny gleem of life: "JMB1984: I added scrolling for when the little areas overflow :) Scrolling areas on your desktop...so now you can jam it with even more garbage than EVAR" Side note, man does actually playing out this concept have wayy more complications than one may have thought from just looking at it. But, that doesn't stop me from using it every day. (Muahahaha ;)) It will reach a shareable point one day I promise =)

Hi, shanghei: in the current form flyouts can only show an odd number of items. So unfortunatly, if there's an even number, you'll need to scroll to get to one. The flyouts will show either 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9 icons at max, rounding down of course. ju_star: thank you for the suggestions! I've made note of this post for the next time we're looking to improve flyout menus, both of the posts here definitely touch on things we'd like to improve upon the next go-around. <br

no news currently, busy on other projects. but little bits of progress get made in times inbetween hah and yes it can be reminicent of ProgMan at times ha. vStyler: like a folder, but whose icons are readily available for use. if you have vista, this program may even allow you to have the contents of a folder show up on the desktop in one of those areas in icon or detailsview however you wish...you can

Haha first time I've heard of "apng". Animation may happen one day but the slowdown is its just sooo costly, paricularly in memory. At least now I can get away with keeping just 1 high-resolution-32bit-icon in memory per icon, I do that and I'm lookin at one for each frame!! Sure, people who use it should know better...buuut they'll still all call it a "pig" for even allowing that hah

Hi Phoon, (1) I don't recall there being a digital clock plugin? I just looked back to the last non-beta release and didn't see any digital clock plugin? (2 & 3) Looking in to updates for that module ; the ones responsible for that specific piece are running behind so that update will likly be available in a 3.5x update if it doesnt make it in the non-beta. (4) We're working for a workaround, including looking at the option of completly rewriting the plug-in and shimmi

Hi Timothy, Thank you for the list, we'll be looking into fixing the things you mentioned. Some things I dont anticipate we'll be able to take care of though, pop-up messages (#4), since ObjectBar does not have influence over them. Also, hopefully I'll be able to take care of #2 but we'll see, I have to find out what WindowBlinds is doing. Thanks again for the list Best Regards, -Jeff
