Posted this 3 months pre-Covid times...was so frustrated I just put it out of my mind. Love Fences...but the original issues + zero response/reply in 2 years is sadly as revealing as if a supportive/informative/diplomatic reply been made. Need to get Object Desktop if Fences will run without it....seeing it in the hidden icons does not brighten my ui experince.
I've been a paid Fences user for the better part of this last decade. Today I decided to finally upgrade Fences. However, I've loved this product so much that I said "Hey lets just upgrade to the full Object Desktop" since for a price of $25 I can get all these StarDock gems, most of which I've never tried. I registered Fences years ago and it has been a consistent and stable part of my UI ever since. I mainly just take advantage of desktop groupings, a couple simple rules and also having a couple Folder Portals. When newer versions came out, I didn't feel the need to upgrade. However...time keeps moving...newer versions and point releases have accumulated. Can anyone offer any strong likes or dislikes towards the idea of me upgrading or simply staying put? On
