[quote who="kbennett65" reply="144" id="3812989"] I took a chance and instead of purging I just uninstalled through Windows. I did get a message that a couple of .dll files couldn't be deleted, I just hit ignore and finished the uninstall. Then rebooted the computer and reinstalled version 3.09 and it worked fine. I think preserving the .dll files actually helped since the reinstall restored all my previous settings so it is just like I never installed the update in the first place

No - as I said, the earliest snapshot ('pre-installation') just has the icons but no fences. Probably too many days have passed since the unfortunate attempt to download 3.10 (which failed, but caused the 'uninstall' failure which set my problem off).
I have the same problem as jeff36 above, and I have managed to recover my icons after running the PURGE batch file (which could not be downloaded in Google Chrome (no override offered) but could in Edge! So now I'm in Fences 3.09 (as 3.10 luckily wouldn't install as uninstall failed before the purge) - but without ANY of my fences. The earliest Snapshot offered only contained the icons - NO fences. Is there any way to recover those fences and restore my icons into them (I have
I'm hoping for an URGENT response from Stardock......
I have exactly the same problem - and have run your PURGE, but even after rebooting and downloading the 3.1 software again, I get the same message (and I've lost my fences!). HELP! John Edwards (UK)
I've successfully used Groupy for some years but, over the past month or two, I have found that it becomes 'uninstalled' every week or so; reinstalling resolves the immediate problem. But why is it happening? My suspicions fall on one of the following: Malwarebytes Premium, Ashampoo WinOptimizer18, Windows Defender Can anyone point to such experience with any of these - and how to resolve it? Or is there another issue?
Could I suggest an option is offered to NEVER group Incognito windows with normal Chrome windows (ditto In Private with IE/Edge)?
