[quote who="LightStar" reply="3" id="3660607"] OK, thanks to DaveBax for pointing something out to me. In Windows 7 that image only does borders around the popup window, and the color of the rest of the area is controlled by the button colour text setting in SKS 10. In Windows 10 the full image is used for the popup background. So evidently the skin you are using has that color of an image, or there is no Non captioned Window Edge image assigned at all. If yo

Okay I am using Windows 8 Pro and have version 1.56 of Start8 installed. I am using the shadow style for menu, but my user picture is not showing up. I use Start8 on 3 other machines and they all display my user picture. I am logged in under local account on this one.

Well, I don't mind Windows 8/8.1, just the fact it had no Start Menu (thank god for Stardock and others) As to Windows 10, I have to agree with you almost completely... I visit the tenforums and have a couple of desktop short cuts that switch between metro and desktop without logging and also for bri

If I moved the screen around the background will change brightness. I have put all my options to maximum in power setting, alo

The only thing I can do is change the background, the colors don't work anymore, my clock stopped showing up, you can't adjust rows, nothing works

Personally I think you should throw Microsoft under the carpet and create your own operating software. Lets face it you already know so much about Windows software, why not create your own OS, then incorporate all off your wonderful modifications into it. Man wouldn't that be a fantastic OS. I understand the monumental undertaking it would be, but I for one would purchase it instantly.
