Request for Stardock - Create "Start 10" for Windows 10

We don't want Win 8 style tiles in our start menu!

I have seen the future of Windows and it's UGLY. Windows users see if you agree with me. Microsoft it seems to me just doesn't get it.

People hated the new start scheme in Win 8 and hated the tiles. Microsoft's idea to bring back the start menu to Windows 10 is a cheesy hack designed to force this new tile menu scheme on us - Microsoft users do Not want this - I'm sure.. just look at all the users installing software like Start 8 as well as all the post about it on Windows forums.

If you haven't seen it, you can see this bastardization of a start menu here http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/191360-exploring-the-new-windows-10-start-menu-hands-on-video

Microsoft is Not listening to it's users as if they do not care, but seeks to create a hybrid start menu and modern UI. Look at all the screen space those tiles take up!! This is total stupidity.

Stardock, I, on behalf of Windows users everywhere, implore you to once again fix Microsoft's blunder by creating Start 10 !!

If I have to start a nationwide petition to help,I will but I think you will find once Win 10 comes out, people will hate this new monster start scheme just as much as they did Win 8.

I'd like to hear from both Windows users and Stardock. What do you think? Can we have a Start 10 that works like Start 8?

Thank you!

We'll be talking more about Windows 10 apps when it gets a bit closer to release. :)

Right now though, the latest beta of Start8 is compatible with the Windows 10 preview.

That - is Really good to know! I was afraid Microsoft would break Start 8's functionality for Windows 10 - on purpose.. I wouldn't put it past them - they have crippled 3rd party apps to force their ideas in the past..

Thank you. I look forward to the future releases of Stardock's software for Windows 10.

Well, I don't mind Windows 8/8.1, just the fact it had no Start Menu (thank god for Stardock and others)

As to Windows 10, I have to agree with you almost completely... Why on god's earth, do they need yet, another tiled menu, the start screen is truly optimum for the task.  And I have to agree that the desktop menu, is bungled mess.

I visit the tenforums and have a couple of desktop short cuts that switch between metro and desktop without logging and also for bringing up the charms bar, so with Start8 installed I can swith between the classic menu, start screen or the new start menu w/tiles.

I seriously am having doubts about Microsoft's visions (maybe they have nightmares)  8O
