I am about to try this. I am just a bit concerned that it might break something. How safe is it?

Mod. You can delete this post if you like. I've decided to put my question in a new thread. [e digicons]

You do NOT delete programs from your computer. You uninstall them using the uninstaller which you will find in: Control Panel > Programs and Features. Look for Start8, then double click it to uninstall. If you have previously tried to delete the files or folder, then you will have to reinstall Start8 prior to uninstalling it correctly.
Yes, Avira says the file "C:\Windows\explorer.exe" was found with suspicious malware "HEUR/Modified.SystemFile".
If you Google: HEUR/Modified.SystemFile you will see that it has nothing to do with Start8. But a strange thing is that it is only Avira that seems to report this. Not sure why this is, but I'll let you investigate it more.

You can add your own custom image any time you want. Grab it from Classic Shell if you like it.

Drag & drop is working fine for me with v1.1. And, by the way. I always install over the top. It would be a shoddy app if you had to uninstall every time before upgrading.

I am just curious as to what style Start8 users use. I have tried both Windows 7 Style and Windows 8 Style, but I much prefer the Windows 7 Style. How about you? [e digicons]O:)[/e]
There seems to be some confusion over the version number with this beta. The original v1.09 beta actually shows as v1.1, presumably v1.10, beta and this one, despite being referred to as v1.09.2 beta, actually shows as v1.1 beta 2 in Start8's config About menu!!! So which is it?
Yeah, I have been confused, too.

Reply to License Question in Start8

I'm still not even sure myself, mate. So, good question. I have bought a license for 2 computers, so far. Is it 1 license per computer? And I hope they have fixed the licensing debacle up where you couldn't buy more than 1 license per account unless you sent it to another account as a gift.
"Start8 UNLOAD" from a command prompt in the Start8 directory.
That's a handy one to know. Just for anyone else, to load it again, it is just: "Start8 LOAD". [e digicons]:D[/e]
