Thank you for the quick reply. Changing the "Open all apps list as a menu" did indeed fix my issue with right click. (Which for other that may come across this is located in "Start Menu" > Configuration > All Programs List > "Open all apps list as menu") ALSO Changing that setting seems to have corrected the issue with many of my applications NOT launching. (Which is good because I was about to list some 30 odd applications :[e digicons][/e] </

Hello, at one time I used to be able to edit the start menu by right clicking the item(s) in the start menu. What is happening is I have my start menu organized to my liking, and when something gets updated... an additional entry is made in the start menu. I used to be able to right click that item and delete it. Direct from the start menu. Right clicking an item brings up an abbreviated menu and clicking "Show hidden items list" does not show anything. <
Thank you. The alphabetizing seems to have been fixed. But some of the shortcuts listed are still not launching. I can right click the selection and open file location. and launch the application from there. (to prove that the shortcuts are working) The same as my post on February 17, 2025 6:29:52 (btw welcome back the forum has been down for me for some time)
Thank you for escalating this. Some additional observations. Clicking many of the shortcuts in the 'out of order' lists will not launch the application. I can alternate click the shortcut and choose "Open Folder Location" and double-click the shortcut located there and the application will launch (demonstrating that the shortcuts are valid) I have attached my settings in case that might help. http://www.cyny
Clicking the "All Programs" reveals the start menu folders in alphabetical order. But the contents of the folders are not listed in alphabetical order. The order does not seem to make sense. This is a new computer and I have Start 11 installed on other windows11 machines and this does not seem to be an issue.
Thank you! That is exactly what I needed.
My Start11 (windows 7 style) is opening in the "All Programs" and I would prefer it open showing recent applications. I am unable to find the setting to correct this. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you
Apparently it seems to be a display fusion issue. I removed it first and the issue disappeared.
1. I cannot delete anything in the start menu. Desktop shortcuts on the second screen delete normally. 2. Correct, the issue only occurs when trying to delete a shortcut from start menu on the second screen. 3. Yes I have restarted explorer, also it occurs after a reboot. It occurs at all times. 4. I have 2 potential applications that "MIGHT" impact the start menu. a) <a title="FileManager" href="https://www.gpsoft.com.au/index.html" target="_blank" re

AzDude. I do not think you understand the issue. I am unable to delete items in the start menu on my second screen. I can only delete things from the start menu if I do so from the main screen. Once the item is deleted it no longer appears on the second screen. The shortcuts that are displayed in the startmenu are just link files. I can only delete them on the main screen.
This seems to be an issue with only my dual screen machine. IF ... I want to edit the Start11 menu by clicking on the start menu and then click programs and I see a short cut that is out of place or a folder that I no longer need and I right click it to choose delete. a small dialog appears saying Delete this item? When I choose "yes" it deletes the item and everything is fine. If I do the very same thing on my 2nd screen clicking "yes"
Thank you for the quick reply. That is exactly what I was looking for. Also I discovered how to increase the number of shortcuts. I love the Start10/11 apps they offer such needed settings. Thanks again.
I'm on version .91 When I select "all programs" I am seeing a boat load of shortcuts that were normally in the "Modern UI" submenu on the left. AND they are still there but also mixed in with the rest of my organized folders. I try to keep my start menu VERY organized. Is there a way to have "Start11" List the folders ontop.
Looking again at my event log. This Error event occurs right before window blinds crashes. Log Name: Application Source: .NET Runtime Date: 9/13/2020 10:14:07 PM Event ID: 1026 <span style="font-size: sma
I logged in as another admin user and the problem does not occur. So apparently it has something to do with my profile. Hopefully we can find out what it is without having to recreate the profile. Re-setting up dozens of programs is not something I relish. Thank you for your time.
Just to be on the safe side I also uninstalled the 8gadget pack just to see if that was causing the issue. And no.. it is uninstalled and the issue still occurs.
Hello. I uninstalled Not only WindowBlinds but CursorFX and Start10 as well. I ran the purge script as elevated user. rebooted. Downloaded JUST window blinds and installed it. Activated it and rebooted. I ran the same test. with just Multipar (creating a par set) and brought a windows explorer window up. Windows blind immediate began crashing (Although not as fast as before) It would only crash as long Multipar was not the foreground app. Once I
Hello, The progress bar in the search field does appear, and it does not cause a crash (but the header seems misaligned. I am wondering if it has to to with the 4k display and high resolution I am running. 3840x2160. Things like Acrobat reader .. the title bar is all weird. and trying to move the window does not work. ( I can of course exclude the app) I am running Windows Blinds, Start10 CursorFX and "8GadgetPack (which is not from stardock but
Thank you for the reply. I just completed some tests with different skins. The problem occurs with all the skins I tested. My Favorite Theme which is Atheros ( a Master Skin ) and with the built in skins Acrylic, Corporate, Diamond. For this test I used the applications "MultiPar" and "GoodSync" which have progress bars .
Window Blinds crash over and over and over again for the entire time a progress bar is showing. The crashes happen so rapi
Excellent! That is what I wanted. I did see that option before. I just never put the two together. Thank you for the reply!
When on a system that does not have Start10 installed you can right click the start button and get quite a number of very useful links. It would be very handy if those same links were added to the right click menu of the Start10 Menu. vs. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/42/57/4257828/
After some experimenting. the issue does not appear if the taskbar is always showing. Even with it hiding the issue goes away if I make any changes to the taskbar settings. For now I will just set the task bar not to hide.
I just did a quick experiment. Please try to "autohide" your taskbar. (and reboot) When I stopped my taskbar from auto-hiding the issue went away.
