The gold is beginning to lose it's luster.
LOL, harsh. It's funny - I have things I don't like in terms of the content - *shrug* just me own preferences. But when I see technical glitches like this - it kinda makes me intrigued and interested. Wincustomize has its hiccups, just makes me want to burp it. :-P I'm sure someone will tweak it back to normality soon - in the meantime pretend it's an experiment

Both gadget systems have scope for the user to actually create malicious behaviour. DesktopX sits on windows scripting languages so whatever you can do in vbScript can be done, and vbScript can do some scary stuff. Usually, the things which are troublesome are when remote attacks are possible. Remote attacks mean they can use some sort of 'open' interface to send commands to your system via a vulnerability in the software running on your system. e.g. a
Take the weather app. Look closely at it. Does this compete well? Some of the images have masking problems (where the image was originally on a different colored background). Compare this app to what you see on iOS or Android even.
Should have let them use the Stardock weather icons :-P
The Store…image
That...is a nifty trick! Perspective appearance without actual image warping - easy on the processing..
Nothing comes

I have a support ticket in with a list of things I'd like to have - maybe you should do the same RND? Make it a formal thing. Course, if it doesn't work on Windows 8, not much point - hmm I might totter over to Draginol's W8 Blog and ask him to try it out.

Your models are probably not easily cloned though. A digital skin could be copied (in it's original form) and everyone gets it. Then, everyone applies the same modification 'for personal use'. It's effectively distributed, altered. If I explain how I made my own personal modification, and other people follow the steps, for their own personal use of a skin, am I responsible for 'distributing' it? Just wondering these things out loud - not looking for an argument

I'm not actually suggesting this, just wondering. oops, guess I did [e digicons]X|[/e] What if I update a skin to work with Windows 7 for myself. For my own use, without distributing it. What if I then extend that to helping someone else update a skin to work with Windows 7 for them. I suppose I am somehow banned from modifying a skin - even if it's to 'fix' it - ie the graphical art is not adjusted

Hope the turtle is well and happy. Get a new keyboard. And a toilet seat. I was just thinking today that it'd be much easier to get a new toilet seat than clean the old one. How's that for gross and random? I love Steams inter connectivity, and the in-game interface stuff they seem to have. But I don't like Steam. It feels pervasive, cancerous to my system. I'm not sure it actually is, but it feels that way.

I have 10 portable hard-drives. Don't try to figure out why, I'll just tell you I edit uncompressed raw home video. I've only had one go bad - my brother dropped it. I have 3 different brands, but most of them are Western Digital. The clicking I've had a number of times and it's always been 'expected behaviour' - it was always a USB issue - the port wasn't giving enough power to the drive (you can get special dual-usb cables which can alleviate
