They should fix that Jafo - sounds lame - new emails should just be appended until a support request is addressed/viewed/open at least once. Even having the 'queue position' reset after a request being initially addressed/viewed and then the customer replying is a little bit off - if support gives a 'solution' or 'next step' the customer sending another email is going to be 'solution didn't work' or 'I've done the next step' or 'it w

Then went to Microsoft Account settings online and changed my account email address to a gmail one. It royally corrupted my Live account - all emails, contacts and access gone. Default but with Black Borders doesn't seem to do anything - just shows me the last theme selected. Windows 7 theme with transparency turned off shows the 'divider' lines in the wrong spot initially. And I humbly request again an option to offset where the start menu appears in relation to screen edge and taskbar e.g. <img src="http://dl.dropbox.c

*giggle* open-source fences? If you like, I can make you a dark transparent desktopx layer and you can arrange your icons over it. That's about as free and functional as you'll get for free. Not aware of anything like Fences anywhere else. I could make some resemblance of a Fences clone in DesktopX, but I'm not going to. [e digicons];P[/e]

The only time I know of icons having 'mouse over' changing behaviour is when 'turn on single click' or 'treat icons as hyperlinks' or something setting was turned on in Windows XP - it made the icon text respond to single click to open instead of double click, and mouse over showed the icon text as underlined and coloured in as a link would appear on a webpage. There's an idea - not sure if it will help or be the cause or whatever. I have other idea

Yes. MS bastards. They "ripped"/locked out optional functionality of their core system. Why not just leave it as optional? Does Stardock have to now revisit the old XP problem where we simply didn't have a windows drawing/desktop composition engine which supported alpha blending and layering? Back to the good/bad old days of fully opaque edges/regions. *sigh*

small feature request - can a y-position offset be added to where the menu appears? So I can have a couple of pixels gap between my taskbar top and the bottom of the start menu itself. For some reason seeing it directly pixel aligned to the taskbar is wigging me out.

The OS itself, the new UI elements - I am getting used to an even beginning to enjoy. But I had a terrible experience - I renamed my hotmail live account login on the Microsoft account to use my gmail address instead - did this on launch day. Since then my inbox has been inaccessible, my hotmail account login 'no longer exists'. I am also waiting for Windowblinds! I don't hate the new style (or lack of) so much as I used to, but I still want the choice to s

I wonder if it's a compatibility setting - there's a toolkit somewhere which lets you fiddle with application compatibility settings that come with Windows (and can also be added by application). This is in addition to what you can tweak via the 'right click properties' tab. (though mentioning that, you might want to see what right click properties exist for your program - I believe there is a 'disable aero' option - perhaps set a compatibility of Windows 7 (why does t
