Icon Packager could be coded to generate a set of icons based on the user's wallpapers using AI yeah?

Persist folder explorer views when navigating within the Fence. i.e. If Fence set to 'Details' view and double click a folder, the folder then opens in 'Large Icon' view.
Hello, I would like to suggest being able to persist the set folder view style when navigating within a Fences Folder view. e.g. I select 'Details' but when I double click the folder and it opens within the Fence, it is set to "Large Icon" view. Thanks! Skarn
I tried to make a simple WPF windows in Windows 11 with VS2019 last week and the XAML designer didn't produce a layout/frame sizing remotely close to what the actual window ended up displaying. I had to add random padding and margins to the window to make the contents 'sit' where they visually should. Turns out there has to be templates of styling used that are for Windows 11, but then will it look right on Windows 10 anymore? Have you also noticed the proclivity for more and more gar
It looks like the file is intact. I'm not even sure the site can remove a file from a .zip upload.
Thanks, I kept trying to download it after doing the upload with the ini file and it kept showing me a zip file without the ini. Might have been a cache or patience issue :-) Thanks.
Hi, I would like to update the download on this skin/gadget but I'm getting server file system 500 errors. Do I just try again later, or is updating a skin something I need to do through an admin maybe? * edit - I just tried again and the download works again, but it seems like it keeps removing the ini file from the download which is needed for the gadget to work. Can I make sure the file is kept? thanks!
This is going to be some picky feedback here. When I have WFX menu animations on and 'Expand from Desktop' I noticed the menu 'jumps/rejigs' at the end of the animation. It's mostly noticeable if watching the bottom of the menu as it appears, it will shift upwards and left in the last frame, almost as if the menu texture being 'expanded' is the wrong aspect ratio, so when the real one appears, it looks as if it jumps into position. That transition might just need some
I'm using 10 Pro build 19041.450 and resizing worked ok - though I'm not sure version of windows might necessarily be the issue. Sounds like from https://store.stardock.com/policy.aspx you might need to give tech support a try anyway Did you try restarting your computer after installing it? Generally it also does help to have your PC and drivers etc. up to date, but again I'm not saying that would necessarily help,
No worries, only cost me 2 minutes. :-D Glad you found something that was suitable for your needs.
Hi, When I uploaded dxMouseTrails I would prefer it to not be something that can be 'packaged' with future Stardock packs etc. can I adjust that option (it is optional as I just uploaded something without checking it) please? Thanks!
I also did this a million years ago: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f5k0u2qphydjy26/dxMouseTrail.zip?dl=0 - a mouse trails gadgets with bunch of 'effects'. If anyone likes it and wants to know more about configuring it let me know. It has a bunch of effects and options, and can save/load presets to file. There are a handful included. No guarantees anything will work. Left click the gadget/deskto
Here you go, absolute minimum effort mouse follower. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2o78bstwij3n3qz/MouseHalo.zip?dl=0
'Very few' was a really maligned choice of words, sorry about that, I've edited my original post. The *only* feature I haven't spotted is the 'mouse follower' one (which had the settings I refer to). Yes, unfortunately the trails don't render at all for me. But it's okay, I'm not desperate for them and not planning on trouble shooting to get them going. Thanks though for the work done to get most of the cursorFX stuff working in Windows 10 again :-)
Am I correct that the current cursor fx has some of the customisation options of the previous one missing? I seem to recall being able to set things like elasticity and friction and gravity and stuff.. *edited to remove incorrect assertions of amount of missing features.
I could make something in DesktopX for you that can do this.
Hi there. I repeated the procedure again and this time it took. Seems to be working fine now. Thank you for the assistance, I'll keep that little purge script handy for the future.
I ran the purge, reinstalled the demo - this time it actually asked me to validate via email. Unfortunately the behaviour now is I can turn on window fx via the slide toggle, set a transition, and then try and minimise but the window fx slide toggle literally disables in front of my eyes and no animation happens.
8.1 had much better performance for lower spec systems - maybe because it was doing much less or less security? But my little windows tablet (built for Win 7) ran beautifully on 8.1 - 10 killed it. In saying that, windows 7, hell even 98 was doing everything I really needed on a PC. Using an old 98 install in VM or on the hardware which could last actually run it feels so zippy. Wish I could time travel.
Hi, does WindowFx transitions still work currently? I don't see any window animations on my last registered copy, nor the demo version. The Preview button animation does work, but other windows do not. "Desktop Window Manager (DWM) is enabled" OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 System Type x64-based PC Name NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
If you bought discounted Pro licenses for 8.1/8 when it came out (I paid $35 AUD each) they do validate and install windows 10 Pro - tested literally 1 weeks ago.
Is this a new customization app? Out yet? :-D Will like to see what customization possibilities it brings :-D And thanks for the weather web service links. :-)
yeah, it would need scripting. plus the whole zooming and animations and stuff, probably out of possibility.
Better - but this isn't DesktopX and it uses 3-4% cpu. It's using nw.js (a javascript/html framework) to display a frameless transparent window with a HTML5 canvas with a 3d javascript library. I can drag it about and interact with it the same way I would a DesktopX object. If I switch to a webgl based canvas element it would probably shave off the cpu usage (using gpu instead). The next hurd
That's possibly the most perfect example of what DesktopX is for. RND would be able to reproduce that calendar/clock I think. I mean, it's just text on a solid colour box.... [e digicons]:\[/e] :edit: this was in reply to DaveRI's link - I guess we still don't have threaded forums..
SWF video of 'photo cube' in DesktopX. Used a webbrowser COM control, littleboy's dxcanvas plugin, and after a few fails with various javascript 3d 'engines' for HTML canvas I was able to get a spinning 3d cube with photo on the sides. But, as you can see from the video - it flickers, seams can be seen, and it mysteriously crashes after a few seconds (some issue with
