Why does Imagemagick fail? I was probably going to try and use it. Cool that you got the concept working - though it looks like you are doing every graphic with your script - which is fine, but do you see any potential for effects that are not already available in windowblinds gui? The thing about windowblinds skins is you don't *have* to use skin studio - there is a theme file which anyone could do an editor for. This means you could potentially have a skin tweaking gui to do sma

Possibly DaveBax, but WindowBlinds applies all those individual images and elements to the screen as just that, individual elements. And they've shown they can do a colour shift skin wide. I'm not actually sure how any of it works, but I wonder if they could tell their 'composition engine' or whatever WB uses to just apply the hue shift to just *some* of the elements in a skin. Then expose which bits get filtered in the UI for the user to select as optional 'mods' to a

So Windowblinds can already do a skin wide hue and colour adjustment. Why not allow individual elements to be adjusted? Some people might just want the close button shifted to a different colour but the rest the same. :-P Another interesting thought, could 'regions' of graphics used in a skin be done with another 'magic' colour - like magic pink used to be (still is?) transparent. But instead, it's a colour that gets automatically swapped with the u

Sounds as I feared SuperNovax - not so much Deskscapes, but the original content creators who you might need to try and track down. You could possibly enlist someone to help you and provide them with the dreams, they modify them for you - but for you alone. You (or they) would not be able to distribute as it is not their work/right. I'll download a few of the non-working ones you've specified and see if they work for me.
quoting post I've used this method for looping video and I can tell you that this does not work as well as you think. Unless the movement in the video is minimal, you will see an abrupt change when you reverse the video. Also, since the last frame will repeat itself, the video will appear to hesitate since that frame will play twice.
I have a video which is fairly 'disparate' with its animation

I agree, being able to pull elements straight from a layered art file (photoshop or even paint.net) would make things simpler - you can mock up your look, then just plug the bits in with layer import and clipping options. I recall the function exists to do this with a static image - but that means cutting the bits from a 'merged' image - layers would help keep all the opacity etc.

Do other videos works as background? Is it a specific dream from someone or a third party you purchased? Perhaps they can re-encode the video for you into a format which does work for you. Some things just don't play perfectly together in the world of computers - a bad codec can break videos playing on one media player and not in another - and codecs are video are not stable/guaranteed things that a software developer can 100% cater for. Video cards can come into play with how their drive

Discounting is usually a market segment grab, or to move no longer wanted stock, or to boost exposure/attendance to stores where full price products might catch your eye while you there getting that half price stylus. For seniors, it's still essentially the same thing - recognising a reduced income segment of society and giving up some of your profit to benefit from the added sales - the profit is still there in some form. I'll concede there is a possible an element of social

Neat concept anyway - but anyway, it could be the mind mapping program TheBrain - it defaults all blue and you make parents and children what not and they can be files, folders, ideas, images whatever. Was pretty cool from my memories of it, but seemed to much effort for me to build up to represent my entire system. It is 3d, and you can navigate through your mind map - but it's not an actual planets/solar system thing...maybe it was a skin for it??
