Thanks for the update. Well, so much for an Alliance victory, then. Science! That's the ticket!! :-)
@Horemvore, I'm at about turn 140 or so, have the Alliance Tech, and can't ally with anybody. Hovering over the option in the Trade screen says I need a "friendliness" rating of 15, but it never goes above 10. It appears to be pegged at the right end of the status bar. Do I need another tech to raise that limit? TIA, Richard
Hi BelgianBro, 11. In the diplomacy screen, it would be nice to have an overview of where all your diplomats are. The ones dispatched and the ones working for your government, without having to look for them. 12. All the tabs on the top could be redone to represent different branches of your government. Keeping track of what ships you have, how many, where they are, how to upgrade them (at once) was a lot easier in gal ci
It would be nice if we could sort uncolonized planets by class as in GC2. GC2 had a great sorting system.
Please, please add a universal toggle to turn off planetary Auto-upgrade. Thank you!! Happy holidays!!
The maintenance costs for ships don't match up correctly. For example: In a planet's buildable ship list, a Freighter is showing a maintenance cost of 7 (seven) If I add it to the build queue, it then shows a maintenance cost of 1 (one) After it is built, the maintenance cost is 0 (zero) Maintenance costs can be a big deal when running on a tight budget early game. I haven't taken a closer look at the other ships to see if it's the sa
I did not add an instance limit to "Alliance". Only added instance limit to treaties and alliances that give a bonus.
Thanks for the quick response!
Makes Treaties and Alliances two way. Changes: Instance Limit of 3 on Alliances.
Hi Horemvore, I installed all your Mods and enjoy them tremendously. Thank you! What a great improvement in some ways. (I really like the "values" as opposed to the "dashes" in the Diplo tooltips.) I didn't install the two-way treaty Mod because I wasn't sure how it would affect this:
This contains all my works to date. Treaties will work without crusade, Diplomacy might, but I doubt it.
Horemvore, Update: Sorry... I didn't see the text files that were included... doh... I downloaded these Mods but have no idea what they all do. Do you
It reads: "We've just recieved an anonymous tip from our sources that the Mu'Kay has issued a statement of war..." It should read: "received". Just FYI, Richard
It is normal when first meeting an AI for a pop-up saying "Howdy" or "Kiss my foot" or something. In this new DLC, the new Civs keep introducing themselves time and again. It does get annoying after a while... Richard
Another item that seems to get ignored a lot is the planetary "auto-upgrade" issue. Will we ever get the option to turn that off at a Civ-wide level? I don't always remember to disable it on a planet-by-planet basis (it's a real PITA). You have to open another window for just that purpose. Then I must leave the planet screen to "attach' a shipyard, then come back to the planet to add a building, then since I have to make sure I remembered to turn Auto-upgrade off, I have to open that
"At least they no longer need Promethion. " I started a new Yor game and I still need Promethion to manufacture Pop.
The Master Changelog still shows version 3.05 as being unreleased. Just FYI, Richard
So I'm at war with godlike ai. It has 20 times more ships than I have. It just flies to my influence area, which is full of starbases and shipyards, doesn't destroy anything except few here and there and leaves when it's at war with someone else. If it wanted, it could have destroyed every single starbase and shipyard I had but it didn't. It didn't even take any planets. So the ai is godlike idiot. Lately, I've been running Steam's file integrity check before each gaming session. Every time, five files fail and need to be "re-acquired". Why is that? TIA, Richard
Well to begin with he played genius. I would like to hear his breakdown to.
I would think that setting would make everything more difficult. I was looking for something easy to experiment with. Anyway, I sure wish Altak would respond...
Hi Altak, I am doing something very, very wrong. I started an easy game: Huge map, Normal difficulty, 6 opponents. Game version is 3.05. I have all the game settings set to whatever is closest to an average-- not abundant, and not rare. I wanted to try this out without having distractions by other Civs. I'm at turn 97, or so, and am making about 145bc per turn-- nowhere near what you are getting. I just got my 11th planet and soon will have 12.<
3.05 has been available as an opt-in for some time. It fixes a crash in the campaign. I have updated the Master change-log with an entry for it.
Thanks!!
I don't see version 3.05 listed, and it's been a while. Why? I would like to know the current changes to the software. Thanks, Richard
Thanks, Altak. That helps a lot, Richard
Hi Altak, This may seem like a bump (if I understand that word), and I apologize if that's the case, but I have a question for you-- In the first 50 turns or so, which techs do you try to focus on first? I realize this is situational. In GC2, playing an economy game was pretty easy, but I struggle doing this in GC3. Turn 50- 60 is about the time I need to start building military so I don't get squashed by the likes of the nasty Snathi, and I'd like to have a good part
