? I hear rook's sound effect for the hammer, it's that wooshing sound followed a low soft crash. I hear the spit SE from Unclean Beast's abilities as well.

Options for all of the above, would probably be the best choice. The default should probably be prompting any player to take control of the hero by pressing a particular key and after 10 seconds it stays in bot mode but is worth less xp\gold.

It's not complete yet, I'll finish it once I get off work in two hours. I'm also planning on tossing up two builds that seem to be very effective with her, one of which I personally use now (bit different from my previous bulb build).
2) Cerulean_Shaman: I've taken an interest in the LEAF program you mentioned. I'd be willing to experiment with it if it's more stable than Hamachi; or at least easier to organize a community of networks on. Gimme a hollar over Hamachi or, if you have it, feel free to Xfire me. My Xfire if anyone wants to add, btw, is revlazaro
Aye, Leaf was

Because last time I played, all the pro's played a very select few heroes and played very well known and proven builds. Demigod is much more closer to Dota than people will admit, I personally think it's better. Some things are missing like more Demigods and different level themes (I actually love the current levels, but I would admit a

When you get around to adding modding support in the coming months (after all this calms down), they'll even be more from the community. *cough cough* *hint hint*

I'm still trying to figure out how rating a game, which should be on gameplay, art, design, level of fun, magically becomes a crappy game when you're having networking issues. By that same logic, World of Warcraft magically became crap (my personal opinion is that it was since Wrath, but moving on) the moment servers were down yesterday and that millions rerated the game and gave it low scores and decided it was too crappy to play anymore, but then magically rerated
2. Depends on sales. Liekly there would be micro-expansions a la Sins. They already have 2 more Demigods that they plan to give out free in a short time and 1 year of free updates.w Only one year of updates? Demigod is on a subscription basis? Huh. I had not heard that.
It's typical for most games not to have a long update lifetime (as it costs money for that team), they just do
yea i wonder what problems we could find if we could get to the gameplay
A lot of us already have. There aren't any outstanding ones, only slight improvements that could be made. The basics being more. More levels, more demigods, more items. These aren't issues though. The game is very well designed, just wish joining internet games would be a bit more smooth. Give them a week or two though, and it'll be fine.

Yeah, comparing this to Hellgate is over the top. The only real outstanding issue is networking, and that's hardly gameplay based. Now going back on topic, I'd like to see a map control defensive hero. Something that can summon towers, or create patches that are dangerous to cross. Even though we already have a "frost" ability using Demigod, another might be nice. I was thinking something like a frost elemental, he could drop ice shards that slowly freeze the ar
I'm finding my build of choice to be: Bramble, Uproot, Compost, Spike Wave. It's been a general purpose build and I tend to get the "Heart of Life" and Priest/Bishop. Extra money is usually spent to boost my speed.
That's a good build, especially the items. Her most important item is Heart of Life in my opinion. I don't like Compost or Uproot much, I'd prefer mulching as it's protection I think she badly needs. Without an
I just tried this game out at a friend's place and ran into this thread. I didn't bother reading pages 2-8 so hopefully I'm not reiterating a huge point, as it looks like replies from after the game's release has just begun trickling in. As background, I've played dota for longer than I'd care to admit and this game for roughly an afternoon, so I may have missed some points about the latter. The game has promise, but defin

Following Monk's guide helped a lot in my case, everyone's smooth and I managed to play constant games last night. Still a few crashes (mostly as host and caused by another) and the "connection attempt failed" error, but that's it. Lan works fine, had a few hamachi games last night as well. It's pretty much hit or miss, the issue isn't that it doesn't work it's that it doesn't work for everyone.

Offline and online favor points are seperate. It doesn't take a lot of work to get favor points anyways, so don't worry about it. You can disable Favor items as well, if you really wanted to, to make it fair for everyone.

I'm just wishing I could play online more...damn AI and network issues. Already preordered Elemental, can't wait for that game either, heh.

Her weakness is her mana costs, but I agree that's it a bit off for what the abilities do. Mulch's damage does work, it's a very tiny range around the mulched shambler though. The aoe should be much larger. Shamblers should be changed, but instead of cheapened they should be improved otherwise it will be too easy to keep mulch ready shamblers up. Instead give them use until they finally get mulched. Open changes her attack to a direct damage while close makes her do aoe damage, if I r
Not bad... I think that Uproot is a better starting ability as it will help you gain XP faster at the start of the game. Compost is another decent ability that will boost your minions, but unless you go for a damage build it probably isn't worth it. The nice part about Thorn Spikes is that if you max both it and Branble Shield you get that special thorns buff. I'm still working on finding a QoT that is suitable for killi
