HoN has always been intended as a direct parrel to DoTA. It even has a lot of the same heroes such as pudge. The community is also much more hardcore and features most of dota's best, so yes, you'll meet a lot of a-holes and elitists. Sorry, it's going to be that way. It truthfully is a 100% carbon copy of Dota with few add ons and better graphics though, so..Of course, a lot of people wanted just that so I do not judge. If I may make a humble suggestions however (

Her shield us extremely useful, despite how easily others dismiss it, but like all other abilities it is both the least effective and most effective in the face of planning and team work.
Hmm, I missed out on the first tourney because I knew the majority of players were still new and that 2 vs 2 punishes too harshly for mistakes. A 3 vs 3 though.. if I can find two people I don't want to stab I might join, heh.
Join the Cerulean Side, we offer free food and drink. Oh, and we don't bother bragging. We just go straight up to the throne and sit on it. That's right. Our arses on our gold and silk
You mean you want a challenging community. Anyways, it's hard to tell if you were fighting AI or not. Typically AI have a ping of 0 and a sim speed of 0, so check next game. There are a lot of new players, so I'm not surprised you are doing well if you've played DoTA. Still, there are plenty from DoTA who will put up a good challenge. Give the game time though, no one was pro at dota the first month it came out.
Most games I see are 2 vs 2's and 3 vs 3's. Hmm, maybe it's just the time I play.
Against each other? It'd be an interesting game, contary to popular belief except for slaughter (I think) you don't need to kill a demigod once to win. Obviously the best team will still win, those who stack aoe's or seperate them as needed, bluffing, ect. It's not so simple a game as you'd think. In fact, I think it would be a game where you'd really tell who the skilled players are. Oh, and I'm assuming there's two of each on each team.
Tiers are in general a bad idea. If any game has characters that are easily picked out as better, it's typically a terrible game. Now is a good example, you have plenty of people that disagree with you and several that pointed out a 1 vs 1 game is very different from a 4 vs 4. I personally think this game is extremelly well balanced overall save 1 vs 1, which probably was added for the hell of it. As a game that is every bit team based (even single player is team based..), 1 vs 1
There is no real use in arguing either way for this hot topic. I'm disappointed the OP even brought it up and even more disappointed it became such a hot topic as expected. This isn't an issue that can be debated, most of us don't even know what we're talking about. Humans are not born thinking nudity is wrong. Society instills that into them, but even then a grown adult can't explain to a child why it's wrong to be nude, why it's indecent to be naked even though every other living be

What it refers to is argued over, but everyone understands the basic concept. I like the example of a vampire feeding and becoming stronger best. Basically, it means giving the opponent "free" xp and gold. Typically, it was when highly skilled players picked out the newer or terrible players in a

Even then, she's not that. Her creeping ability is one of the best in the game, her shield saves lives, and she can devastate towers. All these are powerful in their own way, even if h

Anyway, once again a case of skill or lack thereof, without being offensive. Reg can kill demigods without help and he can steal kills from dusk to dawn with snipes to boot. Heck, even his mines are great tools of destruction. Mines. Well in the prior match I managed 32 kills and 0 dea

You need three monitors so you can play DoTA, HoSK, and demigod at the same time! By the way, if you want something refreshing try HoSK. It's basically DoTa, but you build your own hero. There's a large selection of heros much like dota, each with unique specials (you actually get to pick two from a list of 6+). However, all the hero's other abilities are chosen by you from a massive pool of abilities anyone can pick from. And while each hero has a main sta
Yes, it actually does happen. I happened to me last night on UB several times. The Demigod will stand still or spin around in place. It's an issue that needs to be fixed, but as I'm used to microing anyways I don't let it affect me any more. Still, I can easily see how it's annoying. No doubt it'll be fixed soon enough.
The drama is neverending in the eternal flow of the internet. Just don't let it bother you and stay away from drama threads like I try to do (And failed in by posting here, but I wanted to toss in my dime). That's probably the only sure way, because people will never stop complaining weither it's justified or not.
Hmm, strange. Doesn't happen to me? My FPS stays pretty constant throughout the entire match.
Really defeats the point of cheats if the AI can use them too.
The AI isn't smart enough to effectively use a cheat. Or walk, for that matter.
How many games have you played? I'd also argue that Vs Computers does not count (the AI is poor and not very good). Real games Vs real opponnets needs to be played and data needs to be gathered from more than just a handful of games. That said I'm sure there are some balance issues, but I can't say I agree much with your assesment. Open games imo is

1. Yes, I can. Solid, basic gameplay that's fun on the basic level is what keeps me coming back. It's the same stuff that makes chess, checkers, poker, or any other classic still fun. 2. Well, the community was perfect until the game released. A few questionable people piqued up after that, but it's not too bad yet. I won't lie to you though, it's hard to point out an online community that isn't trash in some part. Typically, most online communities are trash overall. With time a lot
No info on it yet either, hmm.
Tell me they're up now, I'm about to get off work and I'm hankering for some Demigodness.
