I was wondering if Sound Packager can be used to add sounds to the start button. Is this at all possible? I created an animated start button but it would be so much better if I could add sound to it as it animates.

I wonder if there are any third party apps for PC's that would allow this. I know that Wizbar Advance for Pocket PC's and smartphones allows sounds and clicks on the startbutton.

[quote who="MikeB314" reply="17" id="2391723"]I'll try to clarify. The start button image state order goes like this.. Normal Pressed Disabled Mouseover Default Animation frame 1 Animation frame 2 etc. The single image mouseover state is not next to the animation frames. It is separated from them by the default state. I don't think the mouseover state on the 4th frame will be used by WindowBlinds if there is are animation fram

like Mike said.. start button, only mousuover can be animated. Start menu, much more freedom. Yeah, I got that part already. But my question was regarding the exact order of the frames in an animated start button. I'm waiting for him to clarify his statement. "if your animation is 6 frames, for example, the first 5 frames would be the regular button states, and the following 6 would be your animation." My question: Let's see if I under

About animation all states of the start button, I assumed that it was possible because I've seen themes with various parts of the start panel being animated.

[quote who="MikeB314" reply="10" id="2390676"]Unfortunately, a Start button can only be animated on the mouseover state, so you can't have an animation when it is idle or pressed. As far as image states go, it's Normal, Pressed, Disabled (never used afaik), Mouseover, Default (also never used). After that, you can add any animation frames for the mouseover state. So, if your animation is 6 frames, for example, the first 5 frames would be the regular button states, and th

I think the older versions on Skinstudio allowed you to skin the media player, but I dont think the latest versions have that feature. I'd love to be be wrong about this tho.

The above tutorials are a bit confusing. I do not simply want to copy this same "pulsating" type of animation. Tho very detailed, this tutorial does not explain such things as WHY "shuffling" the animation frames is needed. Cant I simply just create each progressive frame as I go from frame 1 to frame 14 WITHOUT having to rearrange the frames afterward? And on exactly which frame will each different section begin (normal, pressed, disabled, mouse over, focus and default). Because for each one

My goal is to create a start button with a sort of atom-like glow/trail orbiting it when i mouseover it and then when you click the startbutton, it should explode like a mini supernova and reassemble as a rotating sun.

Ok, first off, this will be my first time trying to animate. I currently own Photoshop CS2 and skinstudio 6 pro. I want to create a complex animated start button. I dont simply want to create a startbutton with only one image for mouseover, pushed, focused, etc. My goal is to create a start button that as I mouseover it, has smoothly flowing, glowing, energy beams swirling around it while the button is rotating. I would appreciate any simplistic instructions on how to do so. I do n

[quote who="Mirsguy" reply="20" id="2352888"]My latest skin has a fairly elaborate design in the start menu, though on the surface it may not seem so. It was pretty tricky getting the lines and shading to line up properly. The advice I would offer would be too lengthy here. Try downloading the skin and examining it in SKS and see if it helps. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=6929&libid=1 Oh, and don't forget your context margins. Those will h

[quote who="voidcore" reply="21" id="2352939"]Here ive made a nice little picture tut. First make sure your slices line up, when having done slices zoom in to check if they are pixel correct and not overlapping or have gaps, you can notice this when you export and have 6 images instead of the 5. You dont have to copy my margins, they are correct for my graphics. Except the concept of the bottom margin and moreprog if you want an even stretch

I hate to be a pain, but upon closer examination, I noticed a number of things: I initially didnt completely follow Voidcores instructions as I thought I did. I hadn't set the Top (UserPane), Bottom bar, and more Programs Margins to "Center Middle Section" and "Center (True Size, no margin)" I left them at "Stretch Middle Section" and "Paint Using Margins". I DID however, make sure to first, delete each sections codes, re-import each part, and enter each sections dimensions

Top, bottom and moreprogs can have true size dont touch the margins. Programs list put 10 in bottom margin, and lets say 40px top looks like a somewhat stretch friendly place. Places list margins bottom is more progs height plus 10.... this is so it will stretch from the same place as programs list. Repor
