Why not mod these your self. I fail to see the point in this. If these are not SD patches and just tweaks people do themselves then why not just change/tweak/modify the file yourself and upload it to the library. If it's something as small as a typo or wrong picture attached to a PI then i'd say the devs really dont care as there have been heaps of issues just like that for 3 years, and nothing has changed. In the UK (Kalypso Edition) it is a white sticker on the back of the manual. On other games I have seen numbers printed directly on the manual in white boxes and on the pictures on the page so they are hard to spot and also I have seen clear plastic sticker so the picture shows through and again makes it hard to spot. Was it a new game or a second hand? Have you read this https://forums.stardock.com/122873
I have a Laptop (spec below) so have to get games that are usually a bit older so they will work on my system. Does anyone know some other 4x / turn based stratecy games I can try. I have GalCiv 2, Sid's Civ IV and Colonization, Sword of the Stars which all play OK except maybe Civ IV when it is the end of a turn and it is the AI turn, the globe is spinning, units are moving and pop-ups are popping up then there can be a a stutter sometimes. • Intel® Centrino&r
Not sure if this is the same bug but I had some fleets of 1 terror star and some ships each. Now I was going around blowing up suns and mining the asteroids and generally the ships would move off automatically out of range of the explosion and then the sun would blow up and after I would have to put the ships back with the terror star. But sometimes the sun would blow up taking the ship with it leaving only the terror star.
I was wondering is it time for a new sticky post giving Official patches that the player can do themself? What I am meaning is things like the wrong file name for the temple .jpg (listed below somewhere) or say there is a wrong number in one of the txt files that contol the game. So thay are fixes the player can apply themself but are official in the sense that the developers know the problem and know how to fix it, if another patch does come out then they would be fixed
I got the Kalypso Disc Ultimate Edition for £17.99 (GBP - incase the £ does not come out properly) from Amazon.co.uk. This was a pre-launch price guarantee and I would pay £17.99 or less if the price went down between me ordering it and it being released. *** UPDATE *** Was in a shop yesterday and they had the Kalypso Disc Ultimate Edition for the full RRP of £29.99 but there was a copy of Endless Universe i
At the top of the page there are 6 buttons (Products, Downloads, and so on). For me they repeat about 10 times with an overall effect of them wrapping over 5 lines. Anyone else get this.
So it is a good idea to look at the numbers and try and press the button when you have a high one - a bit like rolling the dice in a board game, there is the basic mods for the battle and the flashing numbers are the random bit.
1) Does the flashing advantage numbers matter when you actually press the attack button 2) The tutorial shows a 3D battle with units (like fleet battles) I just get a picture of the planet surface with squares like the planet management screen and certain squares flash in turn as the combat progresses.
When the upgrade screen comes up, just under the picture I think there is a little button that says something like "Upgrade all ships in this class" then gives the number in (). Click on that to do all of them. The only thing is if you say have 2 or 3 different class of old ship you will still have to find at least one of each and upgrade them to the new class.
Been having a look at some game boxes in the UK and :- 1) Games in a 'Games for Windows' box (the ones with the white stripe at the top and the windows logo) only seem to mention DVD on the bottom of the spine. 2) Ones that have the DVD or CD logo thing on the front seem to have it also in the spec at the back, but I have notoced this is a different DVD/CD logo compared with US games I have seen on Amazon etc. 3) Other packaging - some hav
Sometimes when I am viewing a fleet battle there are no ships, sound effects are there and it plays out in the time it takes but no ships. Only seems to happen when one of my units is a terror star. It does not always happen but more often then not. Game update idea - ever time someone presses skip in a fleet battle the next battle plays at a slightly higher speed.
for anything else, check for file upload Dates & compatibility issues.
Does anyone know for mainly ship designs is 1.97 TA the same as 2.2 (or is it 2.02 cant remember) TA
What I mean is if I go throught the library I guess I can download say all the Logos, put them in the right directory and if I want to I now have a large collection of logos I can select from. What about the other stuff :- 1) Ship designs, if I add some will I just have more ships to choose from when the correct techs are learned as well as the original ones. Or are any other changes 2) Mods - I guess they all just sit in the mods director
UE (Kaypso version) was put on about a week ago. I had a look on Amazon.com as Targer is not a UK shop as far as I know and all the original GalCiv2:Dread Lords are CD-ROM except the Game of the Year Edition The only reason I know of a game not working in a CD drive (RW or Normal) is if it is a SCSI drive but them it would not work from the install due to copy protection compared with not showing up in the drive at all.
The "approval" bonus tiles are "morale" bonus tiles. They double (since they're all 100%) the effect of any "morale" building placed on them. "Happiness" is simply the sum of all your approval pluses (buildings, racial bonuses, etc) and minuses (taxes, population, etc).
Just what I needed to know especially the
The "approval" bonus tiles are "
So there is the basic approval whne you set the tax level and I have seen bonus squares on plannets the increase approval of building but I cant recall seeing many buldings that actuall 'produce' approval. But there are building that say they improve the happiness of your people. How do they link together?
For me it only happened once through the whole game. Every other turn I could press the turn button anytime I wished.
It was an easier game I as playing (I start simple and ramp up tinetune strategies and to see how the game reacts) But even if you can goto -50000 why did it jump to -2000 the next turn?
This happened to me today (just during the game not after a load), using the find button, moving everything that could move seemed to get it back again.
When upgrading ships I selected the button to do all the ones in the class and on more than one occasion my ballance went below 0 to a negative number but on some occasions, am i sure it went to below -50000 once, the next turn the ballance would then jump to -2000 then start counting as normal. Is this:- a ) a bug and so I am geting lots of upgrades for free? or b ) the way it works and your civ goes into some emergency econemy mode and resets to -2000 but the
Rally points are mentioned in one of the Tutorials and there is a screen that shows them all and what is going where and they can be reset from there I think.
When you find a Captains Log it says it will effect teh ship when you upgrade later. What does that mean in game terms?
As far as I understand it :- 1) DreadLords is the original game engine with the DL scenarios 2) Then came DA, that ugraded the game engine and also upgraded the DL scenarios so you could play the 'old' DL scenarios in the newer game engine. 3) Then came TA, that upgraged the game engine again BUT DID NOT update any of the DL or DA scenarios so they still had to be played in an older game engine then the TA scenarios. 4) Finally version 2 that upg
I noticed that and on another post there was a reply that the German page works http://www.kalypsomedia.com/de/games/ultimate-edition/index.shtml Strange thing is if you replace the 'de' with 'en' or press the British Flag at the top of the page you get it in english which is a different URL form the page that gives the 404
