New Sticky Post - Official 'home made' patches?

I was wondering is it time for a new sticky post giving Official patches that the player can do themself?

What I am meaning is things like the wrong file name for the temple .jpg (listed below somewhere) or say there is a wrong number in one of the txt files that contol the game.

So thay are fixes the player can apply themself but are official in the sense that the developers know the problem and know how to fix it, if another patch does come out then they would be fixed in that and if the player does it themself the next patch wont complain thats its already done.

Why not mod these your self. I fail to see the point in this. If these are not SD patches and just tweaks people do themselves then why not just change/tweak/modify the file yourself and upload it to the library.

If it's something as small as a typo or wrong picture attached to a PI then i'd say the devs really dont care as there have been heaps of issues just like that for 3 years, and nothing has changed.

:maybe:

Is there a list of all these simple fixes somewhere that I can do to my game?

Thats the point have somewhere that they are all listed but they have to be endorsed by SD so not just changes that someone thinks makes the game play better.

"Official home made" sounds like one heck of an oxymoron.  Mine as well just cut to the chase and call them "Unofficial patches".

I doubt SD would say "yup, that's broke, we aren't going to fix it, but here is how YOU can fix it".  So I doubt SD will endorse any fixes that it wouldn't do itself.  That's just admittance that they would be lazy.

I think what hes getting at is a place in the formums where people can all post fixes they have come up with, with the twist that SD would some how determine which are fixes and which would be cheats or actual mods.

But I see the legitimacy Neilo and Loups posts; why have SD say anything? Why not just simply post something you think would fix something? I don't see what a SD endorcement would do or that they'd have the time for it at all. Its like asking them to rate your mod. 4*

Then you have the fact that making these changes would render your game non-Metable  or is that non-metaversable?

I think the accepted term would be Unmetaversable.
