**************NEWS UPDATE********************* there will not be new chapters to Sinners for a while, as I am going to COMPLETELY rework my introduction to the Advent. Working through the various issues that have come up in the Vasari, TEC, and Advent history threads (take a look at 'em if you haven't yet), I was rereading the Advent lore when I realized what I had written was god-awful. I gave them a paragraph in my rush to introduce the TEC. They deserve several cha

Well keep in mind that the Vasari have been (if we agree they ARE) using this voice synthesizer for over 10,000 years. WAY over that, since that was the start of the exodus and the Empire had been going on for thousands of years (millions?) before that anyway. So while there might have been (and I think there was) a language the Vasari used to communicate with each other, I think they don't remember it now. Why would they? Everything they want to say is automatically understandable.</

I don't really think that we should be looking for human language comparisons for the Vasari. Even the quote of Blair above seem to follow my belief. The Vasari don't have a language that's close to any human language. Simple as that. The can communicate with little voice synthesizers implanted within them while they were young (maybe), but their language has no common roots with any Earth language. But for my idea of the voice synthesizers, remember the Vasari conquered hundreds if n
I have also noticed what i think is a bug? I was playing as TEC and sometimes the Orgiv (the starbase attacking craft) attacks the strike craft hanger (prioritises it) if it is closer than the starbase (i think thats what causes it) when both are in the same gravity well. I think this is a bug?
im pretty sure the ogrov just attacks the nearest structure, starbase or otherwise. i'd recommend telling them to fire on th

so....what else is there to ask about the TEC? anyone hav any ideas about what the Opulentsia is and what it actually does in the Trade Order? "Advance exploratory waves from the Vasari Exodus Fleet, hastily crushed and colonized over a dozen worlds. Political infighting amongst the Trade Order representatives and the independent Opulentsia, delayed the first military response by months." - Sins lore

say the construction of a capital ship or just being in ur own territory built up ur morale again. like yah a new capital ship now we gonna stomp! or i cant let a few defeats get to me, look at what im defending, what im fighting for. or something along those lines. as long as the enemy's not plowing through ur planets (and it's probably over for u anyway if he is), u should be able to regenerate morale rather quickly. or at least thats wat i think. IF somehow this could work
bravo! but i dont get the marksmen. what are their motives?
we don't know yet. (well i do) we only no that the TEC fear the Marksmen, and make them out to be monsters. we dont no if that is true or not, but we have not seen anything to contradict that. and kol's flashes of memory will reveal startling information about the Marksmen and Operation Bullseye....
as a side note, werent you guys also going to do the history/explainations of the ships, that would be cool as well, I did that for the TEC thread
I said I wasn't that good with making up ship histories (meaning I'm just too lazy to try), but I posted the ship summaries from the Sins manual and I added my impression that each summary gave me. EDIT: but if you wanted to do it for the Advent too, go ahead [e digicons][/e]</

The Sins forum is like devoid of inhabitants. It's so sad. I don't remember seeing more than 50 different names posting comments recently.

@Swordsalmon - Definitely something to consider. Here's my opinion though. Maybe another 20-30 years after what I mentioned above, maybe longer, some individual Trader worlds are attacked by large groups of pirates, intent on carving out a base in a nearby asteroid. Unable to hold back the pirates, the Traders on those planets retreat to the safety of the surface, as pirates don't have siege frigates yet. The other Trader worlds, outraged at this incident, send a joint military f
