Okay, removing Bug and build number tags from title. Apparently I just failed to notice it until now. Still seems wrong to me. Tribute is NOT an alliance. It's a "please don't hurt me". My borders are off limits unless I say otherwise specifically. You do not have a right to traipse onto my land, unopposed, just because you're paying me some pittance. If I sign a NAP, I sign a NAP. Otherwise, stay in your own damned territory. I don't think I&#3

I don't bother with Demanding tribute, since it tends to negatively effect Diplomacy. It annoys me that, when the AI *offers* me tribute, I get a negative point against my diplomatic stance with them because I'm currently "demanding tribute" that I never actually asked for...

World difficulty is the strength of the neutral mobs (creeps, if you like) and also controls the strength/quantity of random event spawns. With that set to Challenging, I often find that I run into one of three scenarios: the creeps crush me early game, the creeps are farmable early game which makes the AI easy to kill later, or I get a good start and then the Infestation random event triggers and the map gets flooded with spider hordes too beefy for me to survive against. I'm thi
I mentioned this in another thread already, but yeah, I am seeing issues after many many turns. Of course, I have 4 GB of memory installed (only around 3.2 Accessable, 32 bit Vista addressing issues and shared memory for video eat up the rest of the '4 GB limit'). As long as I quit every 4 hours or so and restart, all is good. However, when I quit LH, I can't close Steam, so I have to go into Task Manag

Since .80 (possibly since .75 - they deployed so close together I'm not 100% certain when this started), factions under a Tribute treaty have been placed in a NAP-like state. Specifically, if an AI has offered me tribute (and I accept), I cannot wardec them or tell them to GTFO my property for 30 turns. Somewhat more annoying, they will still mouth off at you if you go near/in their borders, even though they're supposedly "buying you off" and can't actually kick you out of their t

*cough* You're using incorrect size annotation, and we're "noobs"? Nevermind the fact that "noob" is extremely derogatory and could, quite frankly, be taken as a personal attack, which is *probably* against this forum's rules. There are several factors contributing to this game being slower than it should be. The typical "modern systems are faster, so we don't need to optimize code" motif another user mentioned in a different thread is probably the worst (far more damn

It's also silly to get +6 HP when you dealt 1 damage - which was all the enemy had left = P Even sillier to get 6 for 1 when you're too weak to do more than 1!

I've been noticing an interesting new glitch the past few days. Every now and then, after a combat melee attack, the attacker will suffer damage (often dying) without any animation taking place. After finally having it happen in a combat round where enough counter-able attacks took place, I can finally say with certainty that this is utilizing the Counter Attacker mechanic. Normally, this wouldn't bother me one bit, except, there is an actual problem here. When the glitch happ

I would like it changed from a flat amount to a percentage, perhaps with a cap (to prevent obscene life steal from high HP enemy stacks). To answer your question, Nighthawk, it is *very* worth it. Many many battles have been decided for me because my Warrior had Reap 3, counter-attack-with-anything, and a sword/dagger.

I think it's either straight-up memory leak, or a combination of memory leak and excessive caching of assets. However, like Flagyl, I have significant system RAM, so I don't at all mind if the game wants to keep every last thing it's ever loaded in memory. Of course, I do have an issue if it's reloading the same thing multiple times and leaving it there (which is basically what a memory leak is).
Many powerful weapons are also useless since it is so difficult to now achieve the level required.
On the other hand, I can now equip my champions with a Guillotine Axe very early on, if I find an Escaped Juggernaut, because I no longer have to concern myself with it weighing EIGHTY-FREAKING POUNDS!

I like Grogtank's Research Order, with one alteration: Horses are an absolute must! 4th tech I get (well, 5th, technically, because of Training) is Horse Riding. Then I go to town on the Civilization tree, sometimes picking up Archery mid-game and sometimes not bothering. I was initially playing a lot on Easy, but now I've progressed to Challenging, and I can still easily ROFLStomp the AI fairly early on if I feel like it (in my current game on a Medium map with 3 AIs, Magnar

As you can see in the picture, select units on the tactical map are turning an interesting shade of blue. It seems to be location specific, with one or more areas of most maps showing the effect (that is to say, if the blue unit in this image moved away from its current spot, it would stop being ice blue).

(NEW) More spell slots in tactical combat. (The potential for more than 7 spells you may want easy access to is very real. I don't mind if 10 of my slots don't have numbers attached, I just hate the expanding menu list.)

This gets more fun! One army, in two locations! Tearny and Badra were fighting a rather large mob of Corpse Spiders, which ultimately resulted in Tearny dying and Badra, well, not dying (but the combat was still lost). Tearny was left immobilized, seemingly stacked with Badra in the middle of nowhere (which also immobilized Badra). Howe

Got this one again just now. Most of the Civilization tree, almost all of the Warfare tree, and most of the Magic tree. Also, the second tier Warfare tech names are free-floating about where they belong, but not actually attached to their techs (the words move when you move the tree, staying in the same spot on the window until you move far enough right, when they disappear).

Excellent! The ability exists now. However, there are a couple problems (not necessarily your fault, Parrot = P) 1) The passive bonuses to Bleed's DOT effect are not applying. 2) The ability is HEALING the enemy for 1 point per round.
