I remember when I started and was having my @ss served on a plater. All good strategy all over... One thing I do to help me out right at the start, I do not use my Miner. I change it to a colony ship. I can always mine later on. That gives me 2 ship right at the start. I also like to take the creative skill. it's 2 points well invested if you ask me. 5 or 6 time during a medium game you get a free tech,. Sometimes it&#39

Gal civ 2 is the game that made me discover Stardock. It was a well made strategy game well thought out and very well balanced. I love the AI I can't wait and see what happens when the third installment comes around. 2015 maybe?

[quote who="KingHobbit" reply="9" id="3137471"] Quoting Frogboy, reply 4 My opinion is that champions and sovereigns should BECOME titans of power. But they should start out pretty ordinary. I really like the idea of the Sovereigns becoming a titan. I am less on board with the champions becoming so. However, as I stated on the other thread, if they are going to become titans then there should be far less of them. Walking arou

Steamrolling with your hero has always been a problem with this type of game. MOM had the same problem, however it only happened near the end of the game because it took a long time to level him to god like. In this game it can be done by turn 100 or so. After that the other 400 turns are just moping up.

I have not played it yet... After reading posts on this forum seems to little has change and that makes me not want to quit the game I am playing right now to try this one out. I have so little time to play with three kids at homeand a full time job that if Ia game is to attract my attention a few things must be present or rather evident. In Gal Civ in each game you always had to analyse the game to see which techs you should learn. In this game it's alway

PLayed it in the dark with my surrond 5 speaker system and I scared my 11 year old son with a skelly attack from behind. hehehe Stardock can take it,s time with the Beta I'll be off for a few more days playing Grimrock...

I played all the old style dungeon crawlers and I think they are great. I use to make maps taking weeks to play through a game because I had to make sure I had every square inche of the place mapped. It might not be a game for everybody but man at the price of 12$ and the graphic that you get I saw a few game play on Tube and it's way worth 12$. Try and get any new game for that price now days... and for the map editor the makers promise one a

[quote who="Frogboy" reply="27" id="3115032"]The specific plan is as follows: The city hub gets 1 tile. As a city grows, it would add 1 sub-tile based on the city's specialization. Each faction would have their own look and each specialization within that faction would have its own look. So at a glance you will be able to tell what type of a city it is and how big that city is. A separate screen will display the bustling full city. This allows us to add a

Except maybe the shoot-em-ups, but even those just happen to run triple-monitor by coincidence--they're not designed that way. You have your top-level screen display right side, your detail screen left side. You click on a city,
