Across the board, I'm seeing a pattern of 3fps reguardless of my settings. This is unplayably low.
Friday, Jan 30th IRC 7:15 PM Server has not been down at all. 7:16 PM Impulse server has not been down for even a second. 7:16 PM If you're logging in, Impulse server is up. 7:40 PM Ok, the NAT negotiation is dying. 7:40 PM NOT the Impulse Server. 7:42 PM Cari is going to come in tomorrow to find out w
I'm still on the corner when it comes to this build. It's has some serious problems with my system, but I'm trying to see if I can find some resolution to that on my end right now.
Most recent Drivers Frogboy, I installed them yesterday.
4:21 PM facilitator should work again
Despite not having the best gaming computer in the world, I've been able to play the prior builds of this game just fine - until now. After several tests at various resolutions while playing alone against CPU with Fog of War off with max Demigods I've come to some conclusions. I've informed Yarlen and Cari_Elf of these issues via IRC. They suggested I used Forced Windows Mode, and I did, but it didn't resolve this issue. Camera: I've come to the c
As part of your resolution. I think what you need for your Novel Writing is some friendly competition! I'm working on Novels myself. :) I haven't started the core writing yet, but I betcha if you had someone to go against you'd start putting time into them. Oh and, finish the lower level of Stardock so you guys can hire me. :)
I do believe they have gotten quite used to us not being dissapointed with them missing a deadline.
3:22 PM Beta 3 isn't happening today
Sounds more like the real Warhammer 40k now, and much less like StarCraft like DOW was.
I'm going to speak from experience, but not Stardock experience. Now, people in the gaming industry have lives they try to enjoy and families they want to support and be there for. The beauty about "non-crunch time" is that you can leave work as your pre-determined time, or at least around that time. However, during crunch time you have to break down and pick up the phone, call your wife and sigh "Well, we encountered some problems today. So me and a few members o
Hmm, maybe rating an style of play? Such as Hardcore, casual, casual hardcore?
I also never suggested switching things back to the way things were. My main post was an observation, the Thread is a question. Those taking part in the thread provide their own views.
Slippery, You're on a bit of a tangent. I said that additional elements to worry about can cause frustration, not losing. In addition, I never suggested that this games need to more simplistic.
The main focus of the post is Wand of Speed . Maybe I should rename it, hm? I thought putting it in bold would help, but it seems that's not the case. :)
I'll be amending more stuff come Beta 3, I wanted to include information on the Multiplayer spectrum which is still being worked on.
Casual Gamers should not be rudely pushed aside as is being suggested by some people. I don't quite recall reading where this game was aimed at the competitive community, if your assumptions are related to its similiar play elements to DotA - then that is an ill informed connection. I've never really wanted to play this game competitively, but I've been keeping an eye on it since July and have been playing a role in this Beta Test for a great deal of time. I play games to relax a
A quite interesting and Memorable Online/Persistent World I've always enjoyed is where a massive world/galaxy map is involved. Throughout the map are many territorties with special abilities and rule sets. Players join a faction, and every online game they play effects these territories and how far your faction controls. Similiar exampels of this can be found in: Heavy Gear (Mid 90's PC Game) Multiplayer BattleTech 3025 (Canceled) MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf (XBOX)
Well noted Taolskhaos. But also when you turn on Gamma Correction in the Control Panel, it'll automatically set your Anti-Aliasing on it's own. It's an option that in effect, sets it's own options. Quick way to reverse it is to go back to defualt.
Happens to me as well with some games, but not all.
It's a good tactic, don't get me wrong. The Wand of Speed portion of it is was seriously makes it a big problem. Not to mention, killing the HUGE army doesn't earn anyone a single point of Experience Points. Which is burtal.. Because it's such a powerful surge, and no reward for fighting it. The waves come quickly with the Wand of Speed, far too often. You just punish your foe by forcing them behind their defenses and preventing them from gaining experience points and making them
