I installed this update, and it breaks everything. Fences desktop and icons do not even show, and my computer is suddenly terribly slow to boot. I am going back to the previous version.

I bought my cursorfx plus registration last may and am now trying to register it with Impulse. I have activated it alright and it runs but lately I am seeing some problems with the cursor freezing, and I thought the update that I see available might solve the problem. But Impulse does not accept the code and I cannot update the program. When I go to my downloads page on Stardock I see the code I am trying to enter listed - I don't understand why Impulse won't accept it. Help w

Hello, Using WB7 under windows 7, and still none of the programs in the Corel office suite can be skinned. If I want to run wordperfect I have to make WB ignore it completely. If I don't wordperfect won't even start. When will Stardock finally allow skinning Wordperfect Office?

Hello, I posted earlier about this problem but have not yet gotten any response. Nonetheless, I have some further information, and maybe this time around there will be someone who can help me solve this problem. In short, I used the ASUS system changer utility to enable wallpaper changing on my netbook, on which I am running windows 7 starter edition on 2GB of RAM. By itself, this gives me a changing wallpaper, but I'm a longtime user of Windowblinds and decided

Logged out for a while to do some other stuff... sorry for not responding. However, I found a discussion on a Windows forum where the problem I had with taskbar size seems fairly common. The people there had a workaround. It is to unselect Use small icons in taskbar properties, and then resize the taskbar by dragging, as Doc suggested. Once the taskbar with the now large icons is at its minimum you then reselect Use small icons. I tried that, and so far my taskbar has stayed the size I wanted

The other computer is at work. I can't get at it today. But it is running xp so I'm not sure I can compare settings meaningfully. As far as I know I'm using the same settigs for the display - small icons, WB7 to use a small taskbar. Not sure what additional settings should be considered.

Yes, I did choose small icons in (taskbar) properties, and my taskbar is unlocked. Dragging the top only works to make it larger, so it's already at its smallest, but it's still too wide for my taste. When I first applied the skin I'm using now (Acrylic) it gave me the size I wanted. On another machine where I also use this skin the taskbar is how I want it. Just not here. I'm sure it must be some simple thing, but apparently not as simple as dragging the top down. Is there a registry setting

I was playing around a little with different skins in WB7 and all of a sudden I can't get the taskbar sized the way I want. I had it real thin, and that is how I want it, but now all skins - including the one I had it in before - give me at least a double-width taskbar if I choose Small taskbar. The funny thing is that sometimes it seems the taskbar is the size I want, then the screen refreshes, and it's doubled in size, and I can't do anything to get the skinny one back. So far this

Every once in a while, my wallpaper is not stretched correctly over the full desktop even though I've set it up to. Instead, WB7 just centers it. The wallpaper changes every hour, and it's a guess as to what will happen. Is there maybe a size limit? I realize some of the wallpapers are actually quite small in relation to my desktop, but I usually find WB's stretching adequate. Can anyone suggest anything about this issue? I've tried Smart mode and Stretch to get a stretched wallpaper, but it

I don't know if it has anything to do with this issue, but the penny finally dropped on me about the DVI input that I saw on my monitor - the GeForce has a connector for it! So as of yesterday I have connected computer and monitor via DVI. What a pleasure. But I'm seeing something strange with Windowblinds cycling my wallpaper - it seems it doesn't, anymore. When I booted up the wallpaper was centered instead of stretched, and I found this setting - plus the picture used - in my perso
Can you please post a screenshot of what you are seeing?
Hi, I don't see much sense in that - it's just one pretty picture instead of another, the one I really want. The fences are drawn correctly. I asked about fences.ni.exe because I went looking on my hard drive for a folder that might have a wallpaper file that fences uses, and I found an executable called fences.ni.exe in a hidden folder in my windows directory. I notice that when fences is enabled, it draws my wallpaper, with the fences I have configured, on top of any other wallpaper, such as, for instance, the wallpaper that Windowblinds changes for me every hour. When I turn off Fences, that wallpaper pops back up. I went looking for a possible explanation and can't really find it. I'm sure Fences looks somewhere in my wallpaper folder and chooses a picture to use, but that picture does not change on the regular basis I want, and I can't

I have found that this is a problem not with windowblinds but with FENCES. Fences redraws the wallpaper and overwrites what WB7 puts up. So my question becomes: short of turning off fences, how do I keep it from messing up my wallpaper? For the time being I've turned it off, but it's not a good solution. Suggestions welcome.

Hello, I'm trying to use the wallpaper cycling ability WB7 seems to have, but I can't make it work. So far on neither XP (with SP3 installed) or windows 7 have I managed to have WB7 provide the hourly change of wallpaper the wallpaper tab ofers, What I see is on windows boot, a new wallpaper does pop up for a few seconds, but then the old wallpaper that is the first in the list of available wallpapers on the wallpaper tab in the configuration utility is applied over it, and th

Hi, I have now installed WB7 on my netbook. I had already managed to change wallpapers using the system settings utility, but I wanted a little more. WB7 skins my netbook beautifully, but with some skins, the right click menu is not displayed. Other skins are fine. I haven't yet found anything systematic in it. I have turned off some features that I think would stress the system, such as per-pixel rendering. And I have upgraded system memory to 2GB, and am using readyboost on

Good news here. I installed the new release, 7.1 build 267, and wb7 seems now to be running stable. I am trying a few skins, and so far no crashes. What I did notice is it takes a long time to apply a skin, and sometimes I have to > twice for all of them to "take". Also, when changing skins everything else slows to a crawl. I suppose the CPU is being hogged. I suspect that was at least p

I'm opening a new thread because I think this may be a separate problem. (My earlier issue, Spectacular crashes, is NOT yet resolved). On my windows 7 system I have an issue between threatfire and wb7, which causes the system to crash if I use any skin ohter than AeroMetals. (This was diagnosed by Neil on this forum). While waiting for the new beta which would have a workaround for this issue, I tried Aero colors (with threatfire shut off while I made the change). So far the s
