wallpaper cycling under 7 starter - yet again

windowblinds fixes the wallpaper in the user data folder but does not cycle

Hello,

I posted earlier about this problem but have not yet gotten any response. Nonetheless, I have some further information, and maybe this time around there will be someone who can help me solve this problem.

In short, I used the ASUS system changer utility to enable wallpaper changing on my netbook, on which I am running windows 7 starter edition on 2GB of RAM. By itself, this gives me a changing wallpaper, but I'm a longtime user of Windowblinds and decided to install it, too, to get access to the themes. Much better than classic Windows which I would otherwise be stuck in.

But Windowblinds does not cycle my wallpaper, although I have correctly set all the options. And in fact, before WB loads, I see a different wallpaper underneath the one that Windowblinds then installs. I looked in the registry, and there is a separate key that sets WB's wallpaper.

I would like either to completely remove WB's wallpaper (since it does not seem to cycle under win 7 starter) or somehow force windows to defer to WB to have it cycle my wallpaper. I tried NOT having a wallpaper in WB but that specific option is no longer there. Can this be done somehow?

Thanks in advance for helpful suggestions...

If someone else is not experiencing the same issue as you are then it's unlikely you will get a response.

FYI, the 'official' support requests should be made by email at support@stardock.com .  You will get an auto-response with a ticket number and support will contact you to resolve the issue.  As this is the weekend, you may need to wait until Monday for them to get back to you.

Stardock support do monitor these forums but contacting them by email is better.  You can also do so here - eSupport System

I may not be able to help you, but I can say this.

I have never had WB control my wallpapers, so there has to be a way to NOT use it's wall changing abilities.

It 'should' be there.

WB does not control my wallpapers, cycled or otherwise...;)
