This looks nice. Remember to add the tag so it's easy to translate into other languages. In multiplayer, AI player 1 could send a message to me in English, and a message in, say, Portuguese to a player in Brazil. For and , it'd be helpful if the tags recognized lists of factions. That way we wouldn't need to repeat large blocks of text if we wanted the text to apply to conversations between (A OR

I vote for more crashes. Preferably to a blue screen. Even better would be the video-card frying crashes Frogboy promised but never delivered. Then I could justify buying a new rig. Darn Frogboy and his empty promises...

It's a well known fact that all game developers get a permanent +5 Bonus to their "befuddlement", "confusion", and "illusion" skills for the duration of their careers. They are also born with those skills and if they need to train them it only cost them half the experience points

Thanks. $250 is out of my price range, though. It's just frustrating to use nice tools like wikis and Salesforce Content (Libraries and tagging) to manage files in the enterprise, but on my desktop I'm stuck using folders upon folders. I can't go with a purely online solution because I don't always have network connectivity, though I'd be open to browser-based (that is, I can run a web server locally). I kind of hope Fences becomes a true file management solution. I

Does anyone know of a good, freeware content management system (CMS) with version control I could use on my desktop? I'm getting tired of slavishly using the old paradigm of a hierarchical folder structure. What I really want is the ability to associate files with multiple folders, and folders with multiple parent folders (circular relationships are fine) without the need to distinguish between the "real" parent and a shortcut. Version control is a nice-to-have as well, thou

milksama - that's exactly what I mean. WindowFX comes close: it has an option for CTRL-clicking, ALT-clicking etc. that will change windows to a preset resolution, but it applies to all windows. I want something like "right click top window border, and a drop-down appears that lists preset window resolutions, or an option to manually set the window's resolution". Combine that with the ability to snap windows to the screen edges (don't forget multiple monitor scenarios), and
Not that it's relevant to Elemental, but, I found Natures Ultimate Answer to Quality vs Quantity. The Asian giant hornet, Vespa Mandarinia, also known as the Japanese hornet. It only takes 30 of these wasps to kill a entire nest of 10,000 normal bees in 3 hours. So, Quality Wins Here's the Video:
Ninja hornets. Those guys think of everything.

I'd love it if WindowFX, Windowblinds, or some other app let me right-click or something on a window and set its resolution manually. I know I can select the lower-right corner and drag, but sometimes I want something precise (such as displaying an old 640x480 resolution game in 1280x960). Just an idea...

Everyone - How about this for an option: Once a Sovereign has an heir of his/her body, they can designate one (and only one) as their spiritual successor, or some such. If the Sovereign dies, the player takes over the Sovereign's heir. This could lead to interesting, and fun situations, such as: 1. Sovereign designates Grandson X to be The Heir 2. Grandson X is allowed to become a Vassal 3. Grandson X signs a treaty of alliance with another Faction

Fences is great on the desktop: I would love it if it were avaialble in my Explorer panes, perhaps as a View Type (i.e. Tile, Large Icon, Small Icon, List, Detail, etc.). Fences could be organized on a per-folder basis, but you could have "templates" set up for certain folder types, sets of folders, etc. Alternatively, if you could display the contents of a folder as a Fence, that'd be great as well. E.g. Folder A has Folders A1, B1, and B2 in it. If Folder A is se

I have a dual-monitor display, but unfortunately it can only boot into Clone mode (rather than Dualview). While I wouldn't expect ObjectDock and Fences to "guess" which monitor to move to--they intelligently stay put at the moment--it'd be nice to have a configuration option to allow them to "follow" the Taskbar (even if hidden). My Dualview profile moves the Taskbar for me, but I end up moving my Fences and ObjectDock manually.

Kind of like the "View all Research" option in SEV....which would have been more relevant (after the first game) if the research tree were randomized. Also, in terms of "real world" research, there tends to be a difference between scientific theory and engineering, and the development for each is often--though certainly not always--handled by different people.

Caradhras was a haunted mountain, with at least one, and probably many, malign spirits. At the least, that is how the Fellowship interpreted their attempt. Interesting fun-fact: Gandalf broke Saruman's staff, thus severing the symbol of and right to the power of the Valar. He could not, however, take from him his voice, for that was his own gift, and part of his nature. Okay, and my post relates to sovereigns and their corrupted children how?.... :p

Personally, I like games where even "long shots" happen once in a while. Dominions 3 is a good example of this -- it's possible that a lowly peasant can take down a fully-kitted and amped Pretender. Very unlikely, but possible. Thus are legends made, and all that. The Rolemaster RPG system is also great for this. That system is absolutely deadly, even for experienced characters. The premise of that game design was that characters, no matter how powerful,

nVidia's nView Desktop Manager has virtual desktops. I've toyed with them only very briefly, though, so consider this more a "go check this out" than a real recommendation.
