[quote who="landisaurus" reply="25" id="2062741"] Seriously: how often do we say "look out for the blue army!" We usually refererence sides by name. This would have the nice side effect of helping out any color-blind players. I say "watch out for " in strategy games ALL THE TIME! I'd almost say its a flaw with the game "demigod" because the colors are so subtle that I can't do it. I have to try to spell their crazy names. I've encountered 2 color blind

Thanks Zubaz. Any chance I can add a feature request?
Oh, I see it now. It's a small preview window with the icon in the lower-right. Any chance I can get a preview display above the icon, like how WindowFX does it above the Taskbar? In general, I'd like the preview to be larger without making the icon zoom to 256 pixels.
Sorry, further clarification: on Windows XP, with WindoxFX, ObjectDock, and ObjectBar, I can't seem to get the "Taskbar" objects in ObjectDock or ObjectBar to display the preview windows. Does it not work, perhaps, with tabbed docks? Time to experiment some more...
Is this only for Vista, or for XP? I'm running XP SP3 and can't seem to get a preview...might be user error, though. :)
Naturally, I'm also biased because I have 0 Karma. :p
LOL Rather, because spots on Beta-0 aren't guarantee, I'm holding off on pre-ordering. If they were guaranteed, I'd pre-order tomorrow. I can see why what I wrote was confusing, though. :p
Frogboy - Likewise, I've purchased a fair amount of Stardock software in the past few years, and would love to take part in Alpha/Beta-0/whatever. Ihaven't pre-ordered yet, partly because I'd like a spot, so to speak. I have a CS background and work for a software company, so I think the feedback quality would be there. Is the intent to keep the audience small just to be able to manage it more efficiently? Edit: I ask for reasons expressed better above.
With WindowFX, you can get a nice preview window of an application in the Taskbar on Windows XP. However, I can't seem to replicate this using the Taskbar functionality in either ObjectDock or ObjectBar. Is there a way to do this currently? If not, is it on the product roadmap?
Is there any way (even via a config file) to change the default directory used by the various ObjectDesktop apps to store images, icons, windowsblinds, etc.? IconPackager has a setting under Settings > Advanced Settings, but none of the other apps seem to.
Have I mentioned lately that I love Stardock? Thanks a lot... Btw, fwiw take a look at my account and see how much I've bought over the past couple years...if SD continues with this sort of effective licensing (read: it's not a pain in my rear), I'll keep coming back.
Thanks a lot! I ended up picking up ObjectDock Plus for the tabbed docks. I'll have to play around with ObjectBar some.
Windows XP SP3
I found a forum post from 2005 that states I should re-install SDC, but I literally uninstalled it yesterday and am just using Impulse. Is there any way I can avoid needing to re-download SDC? Where could I even get if from?
Thank you!
Thank you very much. Impulse is showing me $69.95 right now. I'll email Sales. Cheers, Chris
Thanks. I've only purchased WindowsBlinds; how much will OD2009 cost me?
I see Object Desktop Ultimate, but can't tell if 2009 is out.
Under WindowsBlinds 6.1 build 55, I've found that MS Project 2007 windows cannot be minimized or resized. They remain maximized. This can be replicated using the Adamant theme created by Stardock. When the WindowsXP theme is set, however, the MS Project window beha
I totally missed that option. That should do it. Cheers!
I have two (2) hard drives, the second of which is sometimes removed to use a DVD-ROM drive. I would like to install Windowsblinds on my C:/ drive, and to install GalCiv2 and SoaSE on my D:/ drive. Using Stardock Central, it always installs to the same drive Stardock Central resides (C:\ in this case). Is there a way to do this?
