In my current game, I destroyed a mining starbase belonging to the Dark Yor. I only wanted the military recource that they were mining, and of course this began a war with the Dark Yor. After a few turns I offered them a peace treaty, in exchange for a peace treaty from them, their only planet, Dark Yor III, and all of their money. They accepted and that was the end of the Dark Yor. This has happened with them before so if they are in any

@Gamefan 1981 I say this respectfully, Then don't expect a lot of us to bother reading it. I just click back when I see a post like that. It hurts my head and is really hard to comprehend. Not worth the time. I don't generally do that. Really, I'm not sure why I did that post lik

I've seen different amounts too. Some games only one or two, others, seven or eight. And often times on the longer games they appear all throughout the game. If there are any planets that haven't been colonized they will colonize the planet.

I've never gotten that event either. I've gotten one that doubled sensor ranges and another that increased speeds for all ships, but that's all.

Well while we're at it, I'd like to see a total conversion mod. Yeah, and add Jedi bonuses to ground armies. A new planetary improverment, Jedi Acadamy would produce Jedi to help defend the planet.

I'm not sure, but I think there's some sort of critical shot chance that is applied if rolled. I've seen some figures similar to that in my games.

Interesting. I've had that bug happen to me before too. With that much space and advanced weapons tech you should be able to create some extremely powerful ships, perhaps even overpowered. By the way, how did you get your interface like that? Is it due to your screen res.?

Hmm... I'll try giving them a bunch of my lesser techs and see if that doesn't boost them up to close. Didn't work. I gave them a dozen techs, some good ones too, but their opinion didn't budge. I took another 10 planets or so from The Dominion. It's becoming increasingly difficult to fill up my trans

I've never had the pleasure of running into any pirates in the half dozen games I've played so far. I kinda' hope I never do.

I think that you need to be 'close' rather than just 'friendly' before you can become allies. Hmm... I'll try giving them a bunch of my lesser techs and see if that doesn't boost them up to close.

I took a bunch more planets from The Dominion tonight and in the process vastly extended the borders of my empire. The Dominion has been building a few big ships, but not many. I still have a firm lead on ship quality, though they still have a decent lead on ship numbers. I continue to design better ships as new technologies become available. I have lowered their military score and raised mine so that overall I have a score of about 3/5 that of The Dom

Whew. It's going to be a long hard push but I believe I will succeed. I'm playing my first metaverse game and the Dominion began by spreading out far and wide very quickly. After a couple of years game time they had became the ultimate power in the galaxy. They started waging war on every other civ, except me for some reason thankfully. Everyone eventually began surrenduring to the Dominion. I managed to form an alliance with the Yor just before they s

I would try to edit my post, but every time I do it doesn't work and makes the post all screwy. Maybe it could be that a civ has discovered the key to creating and maintaining stable, permenant wormholes.

All the precursor ships I have found suck monkey balls. In fact, all core designs suck hard compared to what you can make in the ship builder. Now to the topic at hand. I created a topic similar to this, and it was thought out a bit better too but no replies were made. https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=247&AID=112749 But if Frogboy says that they weren't very fast, then it could be a whole new tech. Have a random enemy civ disc

I was reading the flyer graphic there and unless I missed the meaning, I need to point out a spelling error. Dependency should be dependability. Dependancy means that you depend on others, dependability means that others depend on you.

Last night I started my first metaverse game. I remember seeing somewhere that someone said you don't need to be online while you play the game, only when you start the game and finish the game. Is this true? If it is, what happens if I'm not online when I finish the game?
