6) governments make a huge difference once you get some planets 7) as a general rule, the higher the efficiency of production/research per tile, the lower the efficiency of production/research per upkeep 8) if you're not busy at something else (like colony rushing) kill the pesky minor starbases when you get your own constructors near the ressource then make peace with them in the same turn or ... kill them 9) watch your pop, 100% morale allows your pop t

hum.. given my own experience (although very partial) I wonder if it's simply not the opinion they have of you I didn't try out the diplo super ability but the races with which I am "neutral" don't seem to want to speak to me as often as races with which I am "close" so I ask you the question : doesn't they have better relations with you (because you have a higher diplo and/or diplo superability) ?
that's the one thing where AI isn't powerful it is not able to see things far away enough to define a policy about things to trade or not and ajust values in consequence I think that for each world you buy the value of the next should be higher unless its in their interest to sell you this specific planet I don't want to completely rule out a diplo victory( or simply buying worlds) but still the AI is too easily abused it seems...
Also, Loupdinour makes an extremely valid point regarding TA-the Drengin and Korath are production monsters.
hum well yeah the drengin get up to 80% production bonus to a planet, but it's spread on 4 tiles with 20% bonus per tile while other races can get a single tile improvement of 30% (not considering trading and stealing of course) and yeah the korath can get up to 130% production bonus, but spread on a total of 6
running the game in a window perhaps ? with a 1024x768 (or higher) panned desktop ????
I don't have the updates because my game is glitched. Not gameplay wise, but downloading stuff off the internet for it. My computer crashed the last time I tried it, and on top of that I had to reinstall the game. I found this out 3 months after my warranty expired. The store I get my games from also has a "restocking fee", so that if I gave it back before the warranty expired, I would have had to pay 40% of the game's original cost, just so t
well I guess this whole page would need to be rewritten then https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Influence_starbase I was far away from galciv2 for a long period, so I didn't follow every change out there and many things are not correctly "advertised" or shown by the game itself
Are you sure you were getting an actual PQ bonus, and not Orbital Terreformer/neutral terreforming effects? I haven't played as much as I could have in TA yet, but I know darn well it didn't work like that in DA.
yup I'm sure since I'm not neutral (didn't even research xeno ethics yet) and I just have soil enhancements like the AI, and the planet I bought was already upgraded through soil enhancements, so nothin
PQ bonus only works if you are the first to colonize the planet. Invading will not get you a bonus.
I didn't test that out yet and don't have much time for it but I'm not so sure about this because recently I bought some planets from the comp and got my PQ bonus upon buying... (TA not beta2)
you can also refer to this page : https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Cheats_and_keyboard_shortcuts from the official wiki for more cheats since not all missions involve a race losing for you to win the thing that's what I did, although I did stop to the one where you have to ally with a race because it was taking too long .. why don't you just mod starting abilities and give yourself a huge bonus to espionnage ? [e digicons]:borg:[/e] it's not like at this point, the computer is of any challenge anyway ... [e digicons]:cylon:[/e] just suggesting though [e digicons]^_^[/e]
galciv2 let's you make the choice to use or not those kind of tiles it's kind of the same reason why there's anomalies with 1bc worth of coins [e digicons]^_^[/e] as an example a PQ 24planet (quite findable in immense galaxies in TA) with 20% PQ bonus from ability + Drath tech tree and +3PQ building + 1 from each terraform level should be 24*1.2 +3+1+1+1 = 34 PQ planet now if there's a food bonus tile on the planet, it could probably be

nice idea to get techs through invading, might do that later, when I'll have enough military to hold off his spore ships or... maybe not, depending on how the game plays out .. in any case thanks for everyone suggestions.
"regular" DL+DA+TA version are : (excluding beta 2.0 update) DL 1.50.135 DA 1.80g.100 TA 1.96.027 though it may mean nothing at all since my take on this is that Endless Universe should have different executables to NOT rely on DL
-Immense Map + Abundant Planet + Slowest Tech Rate -only 1 true insane opponents, rest are intelligent/genius -the insane opponent is Korath and is at war with all the galaxy but me -I have a slight edge in diplo, half his reasearch power, same production power The "advantage" that I see right now is that each of his newly conquered planet is at near 0 pop (between 15 and 20Mpop (and not Billion as usual) ) So I can outright buy each of his planets for about 2500bc t
I suggest you read some strategies on galciv wiki : https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Galactic_Civilizations_Wiki it should answer your question better than I can (everything is accessible from the front page)
yup you can, there's no time limit, no expiration date though unless stardock go bankrupt, the game should still be available for download in several years from now and yeah maybe the game sold "only" 300000 copies but it's to be expected from such a genre, Turn based strategy games aren't as popular as graphic intensive games ... and from what I recall the number of sales was way higher than first expected and still sells today.
I have one thing to say : "to each his own" extant faora ... and you're totally..... [e digicons]>_>[/e] out of topic [e digicons] [e digicons];P[/e]
I find wormholes mildly useful if you're lucky enough on immense galaxies, makes you have contact with races at the other side of the galaxy ... Moreso since I modded my games with less effective range modules ... (being able to reach the other half of the galaxy with your starting colony ship being a little too much for my tastes ... ) [e digicons]O:)[/e]
I believe that larger maps would lead to slower ascension wins because you need to develop the range and supply lines to reach all the crystals.
I don't know about ascension wins but as a matter of fact, range is kind of "borked" in galciv2 since, right off the bat you can reach half the galaxy when said galaxy is immense, only difficulty in that kind of size is finding them all, range is really a non-issue unless you mod the gam

hum sorry for the late answer what's your problem exactly ? I mean you should have a Twilight of the Arnor Shortcut which you should click to start TA ...
OK, Well then may I suggest that since the invoice is proof of purchase the local currency should in my humble opinion be put in parenthesis and the true final amount shown in some place somewhere at the very least because as it is, my bank could say, I was billed like 31USD, 32USD, 33USD or anything without me being able to notice or verify anything Thanks for listening and replying (and
