I may be wrong but I think the only problem(with planetary management) is the "All X strategies" which it seems the AI cannot use (or doesn't know, same result)and that gives the player a huge advantage. But there's other problems like it seems that the AI doesn't use DA espionage system except for nullifying your own spies.

Ho yeah I forgot about that (manipulator) but it's not limited to the drath. As far as I know, any AI may try to convince any other AI into war against the player, the drath are just more likely to do it. ho and Extant Faora: do it any way that pleases you, I just suggested that if the AI is already at war with potent AIs, then it is less likely to attack you if you do nothing stupid (like putting influence starbases next to his planets, transports and warships in his territory and the

in the list of threads on this very forum you might find that thread: https://forums.stardock.com/327598 which is insanely helpful, especially last post also, less obvious (title not very explicit) you might want to read this : https://forums.stardock.com/327903

You may check that you don't have a left-over mod, that modifies tech trees, active ( uncheck the box : "Use Mods" https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Game_Options ) Barring that I would either : -search the directories for the xml files for techs and see if there's not a left over german one AND an english one present -or uninstall (yet again yes I know) and check that there's not any left over files/directories please note that I o

you need to get the AIs into wars, even if that means giving them money + techs (not too much important techs though) if you try to keep a peaceful stance and try to keep the galaxy at peace, sooner or later some of them will turn on you keeping them busy is the key to your own peace (unless an unpredictable event kicks in) of course choose their opponents wisely so that you can slow down the most successful AIs Still, you'll get the occasional e

I talk about atmosphere and immersion, you a

ho and I wanted to add, that in my example, nothing's really extreme about it, I just got a little less than one third of the galaxy planets, immense size, 4 economic starbases, 3 morale starbases, Advanced markets(the 10% ones) and interstellar republic ...

Yeah I got the feeling of forcing you to use the money too... let me quote the Civilization 4 Manual, Section "AfterWords" Page 175 The term “ICS” is a well-known one among our Internet fan base. It stands for “Infinite City Sprawl,” meaning that the best strategy in Civ games had always been to build as many cities as possible. Corruption and waste were meant to discourage city- building b

hello, I just discovered the 20000BC limit in my game.I currently make about 5500BC per turn with a total income of about 15000BC and expenses of about 10000BC, crossing the 20000BC threshold makes my true income of 5500BC go down to about 2500BC or so. [e digicons]:omg:[/e] Don't you think the treshold is a little too "blunt" so to speak ? I mean I have nothing against a reduction of income based on your amount of available BCs, but I'm against the fact that the limit in it

I think if you go to the purchase store with a proof of purchase of DL + DA + TA you'll have at least some credibility, so that they don't take you for a cheap pirate that copied the CD then tries to give it back ... this kind of "pirates" are IMHO the main reason why many stores don't take back PC games anymore...
Quoting whismerhill, reply 4lol so endless universe = DA + TA without DL with DL ... errr okay ! I thought I had responded to this thread, but it must have been just as the forums died on me. You can run the DL campaign from DA, or TA, with their respective mechanics, so it is unsurprising that Spezifisch was able to choose the DL campaign running EU. EU is DA + TA, with no DL base game, but this doe
Is it still possible to see the details of enemy colonies for free by keeping a spy in reserve? That really sucks the immersion right out of the game for me. What exactly do you mean by this?
he means that if you got 0 spy level on an AI (very low I think it is named) if you double click his planets, you're unable to see the detailled screen (until you are at least "high" in espionnage vs that particular

I won't say I'm against space lanes, but neither I am for them at all cost ... I like space lanes, and I like open spaces different strategies, different tactics, everything is good as far as I'm concerned. Though, to combat the "no front line", I modded my galciv2 games to reduce drastically range, even if I couldn't really achieve what I aimed for, probably due to game range calculations limits. (unless I missed something somewhere but I don't think so

And no one has told me if I'm a Megalomaniac or not!
nope, not the case there isn't even an additional anomalies.xml in TA directories, so TA just use DA anomalies.xml [e digicons]^_^[/e] which in turn is just the same as DL anomalies except for lessened amounts of BC when money is involved

I prefer to just review all planets all over at each upgrading step : it's a double purpose review : First I either cancel or reorder the automatic upgrades that were put at the end of the queue.Second I review the whole planet strategy, depending on the latest developments... (using the "Z" key to switch planets starting from my homeworld) Going to each planet detail screen just to switch the governors off is a pain for me

yup I hate that forum HTML editing instead of other forums "simple tags" which are easier to read and edit fortunately I managed to "purify" the look of it by cut/paste to a standard notepad (or else there was like 30 background tags to delete manually [e digicons]XO[/e] ) Anyway back on subject, the upkeep is a minor thing as far as I'm concerned, it's an advantage early on only... Though the realy winning point for drengin/korath factories is their r
