I posted this in another thread, I guess I can put it here too: Something else that I noticed along this line. Ocassionally the save confirmation box does appear. Just not over the ship design screen. So you click save a couple more times. You think nothing is happening. Then you click done, the screen changes and there is the confirmation box. At this point I either add text or just click okay and instant CTD. It isn't a regular thing, but it happens once in a blue moon.

Wow. Messed that up. And no edit in sight. Well, it's called the Lucky Ranger: 72 hp 25 beam attack 17 beam defense All the human ships are lasers so far. Worst I've seen is a 2 attack no defense frigate. This baby might tip the balance a bit... I love this game.

You can "grab" the map with the left mouse button and move it around by holding it down. You may never want to edge scroll again. That's why I couldn't understand all of the "no diagonal scroll" whining in the forums. Who needs it? I edge scrolled once. It was too slow for me. I never went back.

Shipyard Save Issue and How I Fixed It in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I don't know if this will help everyone (or anyone). But I had the "Shipyard won't save my new ship problem". I uninstalled GalCiv2 through SDC and then deleted all the folders associated with it. This includes the folders under My Games in the My Documents folder. Then I restarted my computer. Then I reinstalled ALL of the files. My next problem was that when I went into the game, I had no text on the buttons in the opening screen. I was a bit annoyed at that point. So I

Hmmm. Seems like the forum is a bit buggy as well. What I was going to say at the end of the above truncated post is that I'm going to uninstall and reinstall to see if it fixes the problems. I hope this works (the post as well).

I had the same kind of problem. But also when I clicked okay to "do you want to lose all of your changes" I clicked yes. Then I clicked done. The the box for my new ship description came up. But I just clicked through and I got a crash to desktop. The only problem is keeping the people happy, which is what I have problems doing. To many people, no planets to dump them off on, and not enough moral boosters to keep them happy. What do I do? Continue Game? in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I have started and saved a few games. Then I deleted them and started one game that I intend to finish. At no time when I restarted GalCiv2 have I had the Continue Game button accessable. It is always greyed out. How do I get access to this button? Do I have to check someting in the game parameters that I may have missed? Is this only for a campaign game? By "the galciv2 website" I'm guessing that you meant Stardock, right? If you preordered from Stardock then you should also have gotten an e-mail with a serial number. If you ordered the disc version, your confirmation e-mail should have a temporary serial number that you can use to download the full game and play it while you wait for your boxed version to arrive. I just saved, exited the game, ran the game again and reloaded. I had 52BC income per turn in the original and saved game. I also reloaded an Autosave and had no problem. My sliders were untouched. I'm guessing this is not a universal bug. It seems to be happening to some people (if I go by the previous posts) but not everyone. Is anybody else having this problem?
