To Citizen StoweMobile. I tried to edit my previous post but I keep getting an error. I see that you actually said what I said and I didn't read it correctly. My apologies. I did not mean to correct you when, indeed you were correct.

-Try your test again with Rare habital planets, and see if the AI sends ships to star systems with out habital planets. If it doesn't then yes, It does cheat. I think you meant, try a test with a galaxy with rare habitable planets. If the AI sends colony ships to stars WITHOUT habitable planets, then it proves your point that it's just sending

Of course, if you just delete the directory and the shortcuts and whatever, you'll still have registry entries for the game. These will still be parsed (as will every registry key) when windows starts. The more you have, the longer startup will take. So try to uninstall from "add/remove programs" in your control panel or use some kind of uninstaller. In the long run orphaned registry entries will slow down your machine. Of course you could go into the registry and manually remove the

This is an interesting border graphic "burp" that I found. On the left are the Thalans. I'm on the right. And the nearest Altarian planet is to the upper right. This is a twisty little Altarian border that I thought was funny. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/RichVR/border1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/RichVR/borderclose.jpg I'm guessing that the border algorithm is a bit drunk.

I completely agree with Citizen Lugge. Furthermore I don't think that any developer or tester has anything to apologise for. It's a fine game that will only get better, considering StarDock's track record. Sure, lots of people found bugs. They also reported them without making disparaging comments (for the most part). Taking the devs to task is unnecessary.

Heh. I was looking to download MOO2 because my son lost my disc. I went to Home of the Underdogs to see if they had it. It was still for sale and so I bought a copy from Amazon. Meanwhile, while searching thru Underdogs for more games like MOO2, I found their review of GalCiv 1 and they had a link to the official site. From there I downloaded the GalCiv 1 demo. I was underwhelmed by it. (Sorry) But I began to read all the info about GalCiv 2. In a few days I pre-ordered. I am very gla

Oh, and to clarify, the resources disappear as well when I destroy the starbase. Not even a sign of them. If I destroy a starbase on a resource should it be destroyed as well? This was true before and after the patch. Strange, but there don't seem to be any anomalies anymore as well. Maybe I should start a new game to see if I even have resources or anomalies... Strange.

... I was hoping that the bug would be fixed for savegames as well. I'm near the end of a long game on easy (yes I'm a noob) and it's just me and the Terrans. I just downloaded and installed the patch. This was in the notes: + Fix for when a starbase is destroyed and being unable to build another star base on it So is this

As well, the thermal paste or gum patch makes a big difference. If you twisted the heatsink on the CPU when you installed it (or if it was done badly by whomsoever built the computer for you) there can be bubbles between the heatsink and the CPU. Even a tiny space acts as an insulator. This can cause major probs. Or, excessive paste can be bad too. The heatsink/CPU interface is a very touchy thing. Too much or too little can fry your CPU real fast. Too much paste will squ

Let me add my .2 here. Any processor running at 3.0GHZ or higher needs a better cooling system than what is usually packed with the processor. I have a 3.0GHZ Intel. The stock cooler was almost useless. I ended up purchasing a Zalman copper jobbie with a manual fan control. When I play games that are CPU intensive, I crank the sucker up. Yeah, it gets noisy. But at higher revs it will keep the processor at 44 centigrade no matter what I throw at it. If you're using a 3.6GHZ processor and a cheap
