I bought the loot pack on your recommendation. And now you're telling me you really didn't mean it?!? I feel so alien ated by you. Most of you probably already know about this site; game . giveawayoftheday .com/ A good place to find casual games. Unfortuntely, a lot of junk, but occasionally you can find a decent game.
Now my curiosity, would it be worth it to pick up Galactic Civilization 2, if I plan on picking up Galactic Civilization 3. Honest opinions needed.
GC2 is a lot less expensive than GC3, so it would be worth picking up GC2 to "test the water" and see if you like that type of game, before spending more money on GC3. I'm going to get flamed for this, but I understand that GC3 has multiplayer, and I've hear

I don't think GC2/3 has a steep learning curve. From your post, I'm guessing the biggest issue will be RTS vs. TBS. If you're a RTSer, than TBS games like GC2 may be too slow for you.

We just have to face the reality that LH is a niche game, and GC3 has a much larger audience, especially now that it includes multi-player. I'm not saying that they will abandon LH, just that it is no longer the center of their attention.
How do you check what directX version you have on your computer? Where can DirectX 10 be downloaded from?

Ram...well I'll go out on a limb and say try to get 4gb at minimum but strongly suggest 8gb. I've included two screen shots. Occasionally I see what appears to be something like a dark cloud over areas that are normally bright. It occurs in both strategic and tactical mode. In tactical mode, it makes the units look like shadows, with almost no detail visible. It will go away if I exit to the main menu and then click continue, but a few turns later it will come back. This has only occurred with 1.4. I haven't changed the lighting settings, and I haven't changed/upda

I don't know if it's a screen refresh issue or not, but after sucessfully casting shrink on a monster, the monsters attack isn't adjusted.
