Thanks PS! I've been having the same problem as the OP for quite a while. I'll give those settings a try. You're the first person to provide any practical ideas for a solution to this issue (other than buying a new card...). SD didn't even bother to help.

The AI's battle skills seem pretty good to me, ...but I only play on challenging. What I'd like to see improved is the "War for no apparent reason" and the "I hate you just because you're weak" diplomacy. I don't mind going to war with the AI, I'd just like a cohesive reason for it. OT: If we can't get units to move faster in friendly or neutral territory, I'd like to see a spell added that allows the transfer (teleportation) of items b

Isn't Star Wars owned by Disney now?... A new alien race with wings and wands will be introduced into the story. [e digicons]:)[/e]

I was going to download, but I decided to read some reviews on Amazon first. I can't confirm the validity of the negative reviews, but if you decide to download, I strongly suggest making a system back up/restore point first.
But you go ahead and get your ideological rant on.
Remember this thread? Before the OP was edited, it was full of ideological rants. Unknown to everyon, Padme had a third child with JarJar Binks after a three martini lunch at the high council. This child, shamed with his fathers comic releif role, avenges all of the main characters who received top billing. ... after training as a Sith, of course.

[e digicons]:)[/e] I personally plan on avoiding upgrading my OS for as long as possible.
We all know there are issues with auto resolve, but I thought this was a shining example of just how bad it is. My late game epic stack battles a shammon's army. The troops 1-hit kill all of them except a lone archer that is about 2 turns away at the back of the battlefield. I'm bored, so instead of chasing him, I just press auto resolve. I won (thank goodness), but all of my heavily armored troops (40+ defense) sustain 50-70 points of damage each. <p
This looks like it will be a great update!
Wonders if someone is getting kickbacks from Apple... [e digicons]:)[/e]
I have on rare occasions, had random maps generate an iron-less world. Makes it easier in that you don't have to worry about fighting champs and units with 70+ defense... I hate crystal shortage and crystal-less maps, because they are such a big part of the game. I have never every seen a shortage of clay pits though.
Fences?...anyone remember Windows 3.11? [e digicons]:)[/e]
Yea the curse spells are useful, but wither is underpowered unless you can get your hands on a bunch of death shards. And personally I never saw the advantage of sacrafice over other options. I'd rather have the unit alive and continue fighting. If the sovereign dies, all it costs is some manna.
Quoting Borg999, reply 11 6. I've had hang ups and crashes, as well as graphic issues with areas that should be lite going dark. Never had the problem unilt 1.4. No other games i play have the issues. it's 1.4 I'm using Windows 7.
I thought this forum wasn't supposed to be political.... Labeling people with abroad brush is rarely conducive to a productive discussion... So may I suggest you take a deep breath, arm youself to the teeth and hide in your solar powered bunker and wait for the government to take your guns awayso you can go down in a blaze of glory.
Back in the day of CD's and boxes, prices could take quite a while to decrease. Now in the age of digital distribution, you can get substantial discounts simply by waiting for a couple of months. A little patience can save you money...and we'll still get the updates. I personally will never pay full price for game software ever again.
I'd like 2 or 3 factions for $5/ to be honest. Oh well I'll probably spring for it anyway. I might wait for 1.5 though first.
Just wait for a Thanskgiving or Christmas sale on here or on Steam. Besides, there seems to be a few issues with this DLC they need to iron out.
Yeah it's neat. Your cities don't grow naturally as undead. You have to kill your future subjects.
There is a similar mechanic with one of the other sovs. You defeat bandits in battle, your population grows. Banshee? A banshee can't be harmed by physical attacks, so how can it hold onto a bow?!? Myth-arc violation!!! It completely ruins the game for me. &n
Until I saw this thread, I had no idea SD released a new DLC.
