Each round, each ship that is still alive gets to fire. Ships are then eliminated at the end of the round. For example fleet A has 3 ships (A1, A2, A3) and fleet B has 2 ships (B1, B2) Round 1 (A1,A2,A3 vs B1,B2): A1 attacks B1 A2 attacks B1 kills B1 A3 attacks B2 B1 attacks A1 B2 attacks A1 Round 2: (A1,A2,A3 vs. B2) A1 attacks B2 A2 attacks B2 kills B2 A3 does not attack B2 attacks A1 Battle Ends, Fleet

After looking at your files, I've determined the cause of the crash to be a memory problem. This is a common issue in version 1.1. Please see these links for more information: https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=115094 https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=164&AID=115672

Found the problem. The problem is that there is a missile component called "Sparrow." This causes a conflict when you name the ship the same name. It's not the same problem as naming a ship the same name of another ship (That has been fixed) At this time, we are going to have to not allow players to name ships the same name as components in the next update. Your saved game will continue to have this problem after the update, but new fresh games will be fine. <img src

The non-full screen no edge scroll is by design, actually. It's to keep the window from scrolling whenever you need to move the mouse away from the game window. As for the music not working, I would check your sound drivers for available updates. That usually fixes the sporatic behavior for most users. The "lock up" on save is a known issue in version 1.1. We'll have a new update out as soon as we can. In the meantime, try playing on smaller sized galaxies, or check

Soybean, You said that when you load the game and hit turn, the problem occurs. Could you please send your saved game to gc2bugs@stardock.com? If the same thing happens over here, we'll have a better chance of finding the cause.

I'm trying to reproduce this to see where the problem is. I have a tile with 300% food production bonus. I build a "Basic Farming" there. My planet now shows 26 mt/wk ( 10 for capital + 4 from farm + 12 from bonus = 26 mt/wk ) I upgraded that farm to Xeno Farming and that brought my food production to 34 mt/wk ( 10 for capital + 6 from xeno farm + 18 from bonus = 34 mt/wk ) I then built another Xeno Farm in a different tile (without a bonus). Now my Food Produ

The repeitious text problem after conquering a planet will be fixed in the next update. It is by design that you cannot see starbases or ships that belong to a civ you are at war with. You must send the peace treaty deal and they must accept it before it will list them again

Damiun, I tried using the two cheats you mentioned but couldn't reproduce this. I missed your original post. Please send instructions for how to reproduce this to gc2bugs@stardock.com. Please provide a link to this forum thread in your post. Thank you.

This is intentional. Fleet Battles refers to a battle involving at least one fleet. (this also includes fleets formed by orbital fleet managers, even if there is one ship in the fleet) 1 on 1 battles are determined by the "Battle Length" option. So if you have Battle Length set to Full, Full Fleet Battles enabled, and Show Full Fleet Battles only if both are fleets on, this is what will happen: + All 1 on 1 battles will take place in combat viewer + A

Evil Muppet, The problem you mentioned should be working with version 1.1. You may need to start a fresh new game. If you still notice this, please let us know. Citizen contingency40, I am unable to reproduce your crash. I am able to design a ship named "Sparrow" I noticed your game was a metaverse game so I tried it in both metaverse and regular games, but it worked both ways. Please download and install SmartException in "Free Stuff" in Stardock Central.

Please see the link that Zak (Cyong) posted. I would recommend playing on medium or smaller galaxies or you could wait a while and see if the game saves the file. The first time a larger size galaxy is saved, it will take some time, but after that, saving again will be much faster.

I see some errors that indicate paths are not being calculated which might mean they are too long, and that is what would explain the "freezing." If you wouldn't mind answering a few questions: 1. What size galaxy were you playing on? 2. Did this occur between turns or on your own turn? 3. Do you have an saved game that would reproduce this problem? If so, please send it to gc2bugs@stardock.com with a link to this forum thread in your message

Your debug.err file indicates you are using version 1.0 of the game. Please update your game to version 1.1. It also looks like your video drivers are about a year old. Please check to see if there are any updates for them available. If you are still unable to go to any screen from the main menu, please let us know. Thanks.
