?????How to recieve updates for the Beta if they come available?????????? 1) The beta version we already have will check for updates when we start it 2) You have to do something with Impulse 3) There's gonna be only one beta version 4) You have to check your account page for the beta download and keep checking the version number. I want a kracken mount. Actually having 2 fully water-based races would be really cool, like they did in Alpha Centauri.
I won't buy games that I can't buy through impulse or steam. No more clients. I don't even use amazon's feature even though they have smokin prices unless it's a steam activatable game.
I have been playing with 3 enemy and 2 friendly (6 factions total including me), but the map seems a little empty, however those large maps are really deceptively large. I've founded 6 cities and still only found one shard. What do you guys use for large map? 6 Total, 8 Total? Do you keep the same number of kingdom vs empire like I always do? If it matters I play on hard with all enemies on hard.
Yeah you will have a good time with it. Just don't use ALT-TAB during the game and you should have fun. Stardock and brad have put out lots of statements since those unwise words and now anyone who purchased the game at an earlier time gets a number of significant perks. You should read the press releases and news stories because a lot has happened since then. Also the game is tons better than it used to be. Some retailers are selling it really cheap i

There are also CIVICS technologies that make your huts take more citizens, thus reducing your need for food in the fi

You may be confused because at the top of the screen there are TWO indicators that are related to shards. One shows the "Mana" icon and the amount of mana you have stockpiled, available for spells. If you mouse over this value, you will see your mana surpl
This game is frustrating beyond all measure, even at the beginner level. The ONE other Kindom builds up so quick I cannot defend my own cities against them. Every time!. How can you possibly win when the opponents grow so fast?
Don't feel bad, you will appreciate it when you get much better at the game. Always have scouts and obsolete units extending your field of view and connect all cities with
I think that they made the bonus MUCH SMALLER. It seems very small to me but it does show up in the prestige detail if you click the prestige icon on the city summary. I had 2 heroes with 18+ charisma in one of my cities and it said they added 0.2 to prestige. LAME. But farmers and administrators are usually the most useful when your city has already grown to the size you want!
So is there a FAQ on hero leveling? It seems like strenth and constitution are the only things that make sense to upgrade, unless you need another channeler. It seems that STR even affects the damage by of bows and daggers? Is that right? Any reason to upgrade dexterity unless you are just so poor you can't afford armor? CHarisma doesn't seem to make sense either unless you have an administrator, but even that is no good because usually cities
Dude, the random name generator is for the lazy. I always name my cities and heroes with names from whatever book series I happen to be reading. Right now it's all wheel of time, (which, by the way, has an alarmingly low number of memorable male characters).
What everyone else said. Impulse is for all stardock games, puzzle quest 2, Europa III and expansions, and Mass Effect 2, and steam is for everything else. On my PC at least. I love it. Loading those two programs on my PC will auto-install all my games except for sims 3.
THanks for that, impinc. Until now I thought that was not possible because on the same turn when you hire them the EQUIP button is not available, So I assumed they could not hold equipment. In fact if you never send them to the shop or never TRADE an item to them the EQUIP button never comes available. After reading your post, however, I tried to BUY equipment for one of them and suddenly I was able to see the equip button. It's a bug, appare
I have had 2 npc parties hanging around two of my cities for the past few dozen turns. Because they can't hold equipment, and their high hiring cost (1200 gildar for three or four of them) they really don't seem like a good deal and I can't imagine a scenario where I might use them? If I had lots of cash but no heroes, I could even an administrator or farmer for less than 100 Gildar and equip them nicely for another 250. And they can recieve all equipment
I have to admit, on paper it seems stupid, but in practice the guardian has saved me at least 2-3 times per game, weird how it comes just when you need it.
The other bug I have recieved is that I do not always get METAL if that is the quest reward.
Since 1.2 I have been getting an error occasionally in combat where one of my characters does a move and then the enemy retaliation graphics do not play, and then the cursor shows like a normal combat cursor but combat is stuck and I cannot make any of my guys attack or move after that. Clicking does nothing. Clicking next turn does nothing. Only auto-resolving combat seems to work. It does not remain after combat and comes back just as randomly. <p
I don't mind it. I know how to make roads go mostly where I want and it works. It's a little weird to create a city just to build a road through a forset and then disband the city, but that works for me also.
One funny trick I did was to un-imbue someone who had imbued someone else, But that resolves itself by the fact that removing imbue doesn't seem to dispel the inbued characters spells or reduce their mana cost.
I know that they're not spells but create a third category: 1) Global 2) Tactical 3) Research. Did I just blow your mind or what?
I'm having lots of luck with a new strategy that I call the "Party" strategy. and it's also a good way to keep my units organized and updated with the newest equipment. Basically I create "Parties" of units that I keep together fairly strictly rather than just organically moving units around. Each party consists of the following: 1) A caster 3-4 MP 2) A custom designed scout unit with a Club, Shoes, and the Scout pack (The one that g
The resources are dropping at the same rate they are just VERY random so it's feast or famine.
Oh, oops. I',m at quest level 2 and notable level 2 and I have not seen any lvel 3 itmes yet. I thought it was fixed. DANG!!!!! Original Message CHANGED.
You can make beaches now with terraforming spells.
The one that allows you to see goodie huts and quest areas that you could not use. That one is worse than bird poop on the windshild.
