Was trying to check out the Zing! skin by JJ Ying that is on the front page of the site but I just get a page that says There are no skins to display. Anybody else having this problem?

Getting this problem right now trying to browse any of the galleries: (Side note: Who in the world references anything by a name of dxzxewew?? You know we can use more than 8 characters nowadays right Not picking on anybody or saying it's wrong just trying to have a laugh since I can't browse the galleries <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif"
Recently got a new laptop and wanted to install this skin. Can't find it on wincustomize, tried searching etc. I think I remember it was in the GUI olympics last year. Anybody know where I can get it?
Ahh I see sneaky
If you go to the boot skins gallery and search for "aqua" nothing comes up, but if you search for "teen" the Aqua Teen hunger force comes up. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, it's happened before will happen again, but it seems like the search doesn't work right.
I will try that out tomorrow. Hopefully it will work, thanks for the help Maybe one of the developers could answer why I would need to have Object Zip installed in order for DesktopX to run? Or is this not the case? Any light that could be shedded on this subject would be appreciated.
Am I the only one having this issue? That would suck.
I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the latest stable version of DesktopX using Stardock Central but every time I go to run it, I get an error message stating it can't find ODZip.dll in the DesktopX folder or Object Desktop common files folder. I have searched my hard drive and this file is nowhere to be found. If the application needs it shouldn't it be included in the download/install from Stardock Central? Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated.
Yeah actually IIS has support for it built in but I dunno if they have access to change the main IIS settings, but it wouldn't be hard at all to build into a template system. Either way glad to see they are gonna take advantage of this
I've been coming here for a while (ever since I got my OD & wincustomize subscription), love the site. I don't post here that often because I am really pressed for time. Anyway getting to the point of the thread, I'm just curious as to why wincustomize doesnt use compression for the finalized html output of the site? It could save wonders on bandwidth issues & I know you guys have bandwidth issues. It wouldn't be hard to implement into an asp template system. Just my 2 cents take it for what it'
I appreciate all the help. Sorry for the late replies, been working a lot of overtime the past few days. It must have been a version issue, the version I had didn't even have a password box, thus how can it be sending a password to the server, of course it's gonna get rejected Oh well, the issue is cleared up. Thanks again I really appreciate the time you guys took to help me.
I appreciate your help but that did not work, I even tried clearing all info out, clicking ok, closing SDC, opening SDC back up and re-entering info. If anybody knows how to resolve this issue I would much appreciate the help. Thanks again Chef, appreciate the help even though it didn't solve the problem.
I am getting the message, "Your Stardock.net account (email) has failed to logon to the Stardock Central servers." and it goes on to say it can't display updates because of that. My options are Retry or Cancel, Retry numerous times gives me the same message. I went under tools -> edit accounts & clicked update on the Object Desktop & Wincustomize screens, both say my information has been successfully registered. Is there something I am doing wrong? This worked perfectly the oth
I am curious if you guys have ever played that old bbs game TradeWars? Great game for its time. Also have you thought about releasing a demo? Nowadays I really don't buy games before play testing them. Not saying your game isn't great, I'm sure it probably is, but I have been burned way too many times buying games which got awesome ratings and turned out to just plain suck. Again, I'm sure your game is probably great, but everybody has different tastes. If you can't or don't want to put out a de
Congratulations to the new admins, I hope you enjoy your time with Wincustomize. I also hope with your coming the other admins can relax a little more and everyone on the wincustomize staff can have more time for themselves. Congratulations.
grayhaze, if you would have read my original posts I just said I want something which is usable. I also said I would be willing to pay more if they would moderate out the skins which are not usable. For the love of god I didn't say everything should be catered to my taste I just said I want usable I pointed out two skins which aren't. Maybe read ALL the posts somebody made on a subject before you tell them off next time, not just quote one. There is no way you could use those two skins I pointed
In response to skinner Weaksid: >To be honest. Maybe it worked fine for them and it was their vision. And 10 to 1 >they probably worked many hours on it also. I apologize if I made it seem like I think useability is based on lightness or darkness. I am really only talking about the skins which are actually stressful on the eyes to look at. For example 1 light and 1 dark skin, Curly Kale with Sausages - (preview https://www.wincustomize.com/window.asp?Cmd=PREVIEW&source=http://skins.wincustomize.com/Lecrayon/wb/CurlyKale_Sausage_Set.jpg) and XP Crimson (preview https://www.wincustomize.com/window.asp?Cmd=PREVIEW&source=http://skins.wincustomize.com/Sil
I would like to see moderation of skins also. If you don't want to reject skins because of ugliness that's fine because beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, but maybe instead you should reject skins on usefullness and useability. Customization is a good thing, but I can pick out plenty of skins from the WB library that just lack complete usefullness and useability. Windows is an operating system and needs to be useful and useable. For example, when I can't tell the minimize maximize and
Your download from download.com isn't working right now and I really would rather not have to install an Internet Explorer applet just to download a file, but this looks very awesome and I would really like to check it out so I will just wait until the primary site is back up.
I forget who MySQL is made by, I'm not sure their organization even goes by anything other than MySQL. It is open source and free. MS SQL is short for Microsoft SQL, not free and not open source. I use both php and asp, I tend to use php when I am on a Unix/Linux backend and asp when I am on a Microsoft backend, simply because in order to have asp support on *nix you need to buy Chili!asp which is not cheap. Also php has a lot of quirks when you are running it on Windows. Asp has a visual basic
I understand you can kind of get a bar like ObjectDock by using Desktop X but from my understanding it can not produce all the same effects. I am not sure if it is even possible or how much work it would be but it would be nice to have the Desktop X "ability" of clicking an icon in the bar and bringing up a menu of more icons, and perhaps even another menu of icons off of that. I am an OD and WC subscriber so if there is any way to do this currently with Desktop X, ObjectBar or any of the other
This is really cool. It would be cool to have a right click close/minimize/maximize menu but I can live without it. Very sweet app, I think I am going to use this. Now I just need to figure out how to do the start button only with objectbar or find a way to use desktopx to get what I am missing with the start button.
Anybody else notice this? I can't remove it from any of the previous methods either Anybody know how to get rid of it not using the sysoc.inf edit methord or RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection c:\windows\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove? It won't go away
Definitely very awesome.
