Stardock Central - problem logging on

I am getting the message, "Your Stardock.net account (email) has failed to logon to the Stardock Central servers." and it goes on to say it can't display updates because of that. My options are Retry or Cancel, Retry numerous times gives me the same message.

I went under tools -> edit accounts & clicked update on the Object Desktop & Wincustomize screens, both say my information has been successfully registered.

Is there something I am doing wrong? This worked perfectly the other day. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks in advance.

That happened to me once or twice. Even though the information appears correct, re-enter it anyway. Should fix it up.

I appreciate your help but that did not work, I even tried clearing all info out, clicking ok, closing SDC, opening SDC back up and re-entering info. If anybody knows how to resolve this issue I would much appreciate the help. Thanks again Chef, appreciate the help even though it didn't solve the problem.

I had a lot of problems with Stardock Central last week. What I did was before going to update application data in tools, I deleted all my cookies and temporary internet files. I even had to delete old threads in discussion. Everything is working fine now.I hope this helps!

I also had that problem and emailed stardock support. Here is what they said:

Please make sure that you are running the most recent version, which
is located at:
http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentralrc1.exe
Then, close and reopen it to run the auto-update feature to make sure
that it is the most current version.

Next, go to Tools>edit Stardock.net account

Make sure that the password field is filled in with the correct
password. If it is not filled in, or you are not sure if it is
correct, please go to:
https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?cmd=SENDPW and use the lookup
to have your password emailed to you.

Other reasons why it won't login:
1) you are using a different email address than what you registered
with.
2) the nick that you are trying to register with is already taken and
SDC is giving you an incorrect error.
3) you are using a firewall, proxy or ad blocker that is interfering.

I appreciate all the help. Sorry for the late replies, been working a lot of overtime the past few days. It must have been a version issue, the version I had didn't even have a password box, thus how can it be sending a password to the server, of course it's gonna get rejected Oh well, the issue is cleared up. Thanks again I really appreciate the time you guys took to help me.
