not 'just' slow, it takes me 4 minutes to load evry page.

I too am having the same problem as belinda wallis. Before reading this post I uninstalled and reinstalled Window Blinds thinking the problem was me. I have also gotten message saying "This file does not contain a .uis file. Are you sure it is a Window Blinds skin?" Other times I get the error with the error report and have only gotten one skin to install and it was Doublet. Is this due to changes being made?

I have never gotten an error message like that. Although as with doublet i got an error report when trying to download it, then they sent it to me via email (wich is very nice i must say), and it workes fine. Just cant seem 2 get any skins at all not even old ones.

Could someone please tell us if this is happening due to the site being moved?

belinda wallis, try this. I found this post on another category and it seems to be working.

"If the skin you are downloading was uploaded incorrectly, it will crash Windowblinds. What happens is they put the .WBA inside a ZIP, then upload the ZIP. The server then renames the ZIP to .WBA and what you end up with is a WBA inside a WBA and it will crash wbload.exe. Try save the skin to disk, then rename .wba to .zip."

Also, keep in mind that after you rename it you have to double click on the renamed file and it will automaticly install the skin. Then you can delete the renamed file.

ok.. this is not an issue for, but now that we r mentioning bugs here goes one thats been around for a long time... my skin SleekMP XP clocks an avg. of 50+ dl's everyday, yet i haven't seen it in the top WinMedia Themes list for some time now...

Pacific: You are right I think. All of the sudden, I have only one of my skins on that list and I had like, 4 a week ago. Im sure I have more than 24 d/l on my higest skin yesterday. Bizarre. You were always, like two places higher than I was.

wooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooo it worked, didnt even have to rename it, just save it to my desktop. Kinda anoying though haveing to do that everytime. Ah well thanx that.

The only problem I am having is updateing my settings ie. which stuff I want displayed on the left side

I can't update my settings either. I want more skins displayed and the left side redone too. And I want to make my skin ratings shown lower it's at 4 for some reason.

The 'Edit Account' does not work. After I make the changes I want and click on 'Update', It gives me an error page.

ok, well i've tried refreshing my libraries on both stardock central and wincustomize browser with no success. i had this problem yesterday and was given the instruction to refresh the libraries, then refresh the site updates, then close the program, re-open and refresh the libraries again.

whilst this seemed to work yesterday, i have repeated this at least half a dozen times for both programs and to no avail - nothin appears. is anybody else having a similar problem?

I dont know if anyone noticed this, but on the litestep page two new skins were up yesterday. I could not download either of them. Sputnik was one of them, and now that one has dissapeared. I was wondering if they are gonna ever go up for download for litestep(sputnik especially).

no problems, except windowblinds don't install automatically anymore. have to save in windowblinds folder, and click on the .wba file. not a prob unless you are lazy, which i am.

I read your post at the top of this long load, and I thought I should inform you of something I've found while on your editprofile.asp page. I receive this error, and none of my changes are completed. I have tested this page with both IE6 and Mozilla Firebird (Netscape 7ish), so I don't think it's something at my end. Any ideas?

I cant seem to be able to go to the WinC home page. It just sits there loading for a long time. I can go to the messageboards (duh) but I cant get to the home page. I'm using IE 6.
