The idiotic postings below about the democratic party.

The idiotic postings below about the democratic party.

You complain about nothing positivey from democrats??!? Maybe you missed the eight years of non-stop whining from the republicans! For eight long years they couldn't get over an ELECTED president they didn't like. Imagine if Clinton's brother had fixed his election, not one republican would ever SHUT UP about it!
EVER!

You want a positive agenda? Try the earned income tax credit that CLinton got passed that lifted millions of Americans who work for a living out of poverty and off welfare. Try the programs that put internet and computers into the vast majority of american schools that we without them. Try the Middle class tax cuts that gave us unpresidented booming stock markets that dwarfed anything before or since. You could try the lowest unemployment in 30 years. Or the first budget surplus on a yearly basis in 36 years. You want positive? Then put a democrat back in charge!

You want negative? Then look around. THree years and we have the highest deficits in the HISTORY of the country. We have lost 3 MILLION jobs in just three years, that never happened any time except the great depression with Hoover. You want negative, the judges you want to call qualified would love to take us back to slavery and a church run society. When your justice dept is run by a man who was fighting to keep Activly bussing black kids across town to stick them in all black schools, you are not an acceptable judge of qualifications.
You want negative, try the blaming of enron's rip off of charging 3000% higher than the highest rates in HISTORY in California on the salmon run like Cheney did. With memo's calling the program "death star" in Enron stationary, Bush said "I don't know Ken Lay". Only texas newspapers from the Gov's term show them buddy buddy as can be. He is a LIAR!@|!!!!
In the 2000 debate Bush claimed he sponsered a bill of rights for patients in Texas, and blabbered on and on about how proud he was of it. HE VETOED IT TWICE!!! And it became law WITHOUT his SIGNATURE! He's a LIAR!! Clear and plain.

You want to talk about the blackout, Fine. Lets talk about how the Grid upgrade was in the budget until BUsh told the gopers to veto it. TWICE! Republicans talk about responsibility, but somehow, when they are in office and everything always goes to hell, they are never responsible for any of it according to them. Let's talk about the fact that the company where it happened, first Energy gave hundreds of thousands to Bush and had massive leaks in their reactor in Ohio
that they barely caught when inspecters came in. The safety record for them is disgusting.
Yet thanks to Bush, the regulaters keep loosening the reigns on them.

Well, if you control all three branches, and the country is in the worst state it's been since the depression, don't tell me you aren't responisible!

You want positive agenda, look at the small business tax breaks Howard Dean gave in VErmont that increased their jobs by 26% over six years. Only his state isn't cutting everything to the bone under Bush. Only his state still has a $10 million dollar surplus to get through.
Across the country, every state run by the GOP is bankrupt. What to the republicans say for themselves? Excuse after excuse. Bill Clinton had one affair, Bush is screwing the whole nation.

Again, people who come up with these conspiracy theories are paranoid people who wear tin foil hats or are just out to make money writing books. Anyone here believe the moon missions were faked?

I don't know what's really going on, but I have recently watched the nazi history, Those words stuck me pretty deeply:

All evil needs to win, is good to do nothing.

So, if USA is indeed going to change something like nazi-era germany, If you can, do something.

There are a lot of analysis of 911 that twist and distort facts and try to lead readers to a conclusion far removed from reality, if you look its not difficult to find them. Just look at some of the sources in this article, a lot of reporting and news articles sometimes has to do more with partisan politics than it has to do with reporting. The BBC is way out on the left, almost as way out as the extreme left who consistently claim the outlandish radical view that the Bush administration, or any administration actually planned 911. Just recently CNN Christian amanpour pitched a fit about Fox news being foot soldiers of the Bush administration and she complained about Fox’s coverage of the Iraq conflict, the spokeswoman for Fox came back at Amanpour with something like “If given the choice, I would rather be considered a foot soldier for the Bush administration than a spokesperson for Al Qaida.

Heres some "facts"

1993 World Trade Center in New York is bombed, killing six.

The Bush Doctrine identifies three threat agents: terrorist organizations with global reach, weak states that harbor and assist such terrorist organizations, and rogue states. Al Qaeda and the Taliban’s Afghanistan embody the first two agents. Rogue states are defined as states that:
. . . brutalize their own people and squander their national resources for the personal gain of the rulers; display no regard for international law, threaten their neighbors, and callously violate international treaties to which they are party; are determined to acquire weapons of mass destruction, along with other advanced military technology, to be used as threats or offensively to achieve the aggressive designs of these regimes; sponsor terrorism around the globe; and reject human values and hate the United States and everything it stands for.

Another fine collection of selective generalisations .... of course, shooting down an Airbus full of civilians was 'an unfortunate error', using KAL007 as cover for an ECW aircraft which resulted in the 747 being shot down was 'another unfortunate error' ..... I do like such 'expert opinions' courtesy of civilians.

to many damn Way WAY LEFT Liberal handcuffs on the system.

I have to admit that they need to install Seatbelts so when the lawyers sit at the defendants table and the room tips to the left so hard everything piles up on the floor against the wall women and little children don't get crushed on the bottom of the pile.

I have to say that what happened in California was sort of off. I get the argument of people saying that those 'chads' voting cards can not be used after the Florida election in 2000 (in other words don't bother to look at the fact that Davis was elected with those chads in play)

I have to say I wouldn't like people to use the card but I think an informed population could navigate the card easiely and should be taught what to look for if something goes wrong and double check who they voted for.

I think that solution is far more simplistic than having California in 'election mode' for the next year and a half.

Sure... blame the Denocrats for the chad/bring it to court situation. I rather blame both parties for taking it this far.

very true joe...

very true..

Florida won't vote Republican again for a while. Jeb Bush has really screwed this state and people woke up.

So CA is a place that needs to be put into turmoil so it ends up being up in the air.

To many people didn't vote in 2000. Hands down it would have turned out different if they had.

Nationally only 38% of the registered voters actually voted... boggling if you ask me...

Bet most people vote on all sides in 04 though...

The 9th Circus Court of Appeals is a liberal flop house, the reason given for the delay is that 40,000 minority Democrat “constituents” may not be intelligent enough to figure out how to punch a ballot, if you ask me that says a lot about the DNC right there. If Al Gore had sent his people to a couple hundred more homeless shelters with offers of free wine and cigarettes, Sore / Loserman 2000 would have won the election and now we would all be reading the Q'ran and our women would be wearing burkas, the code of Hammurabi would look like a civilized set of laws by now.

///////////////unilateralism? /////////

Lest we forget the NATO “mission” when Clintons “unilateralism” (bypassing of the UN) didn’t raise any liberal fears, the whole thing was a disaster, the bombing only exacerbated the massacres and created a humanitarian crisis, it is not unfair to say that Bubba and his pal Wesley Farc targeted everything but Serbian forces if you think back and remember after the bombing stopped when column after column of totally unscathed Serbian armor emerged with smiling troops in high morale, add in high collateral damages and the international incident of bombing the Chinese embassy. Overall the objective to stop the massacre was a complete failure, Then Clinton goes and announces to the world “I will not send ground forces,” this isn’t rocket science people.
The same people that thought this was a success harp on Bush for trying to stop terrorism, after a two front war that met a large variety of objectives with minimal casualties and collateral damage the prospects seem pretty good with the Bush doctrine and I am optimistic about it.
