What's your Nick?

What's your Nick?

Alright, I've gotten quite a few people ask me why are you calling yourself Green_Armani. The answer is that I'm a Marine and being far from a corporate environment my old commanding officer would give us a pep talk at our weekly formations. He would talk about this and that, and he would always say "It's not easy to come to work and put on this green armani suit" The thing is, he wasn't talking about an expensive 3 peice suite, but rather our camaouflage uniform. So, having said all that I was really thinking hard for a good nick and it just hit me to use that. Anyone else wanna say how they came up with their nick? Come one what else do you have going on

Werewolf in Texas. Why has is never been made into a movie?

I had a very small part in Texas Chainsaw Massacre...That's why that guy had to wear a mask. He didn't taste very good.

Keila, my secret is good clean living. Ok, that was a flat out lie. The 314 refers to my birthday (March 14th).

Pax means "peace". And it's a nickname my friends gave me a long time ago when I was a teen and a big peace activist.
The nickname still fits, although I'm too lazy anymore to go to the peace walks.
Pax was taken when I signed up on Skinz.org, so I just added the extra X. I'm stuck with it since then.

So, anybody wants to ask me what I think of the war in Irak now?
Good question, many people think since I'm in the military that I "must" want to go to Iraq to open a can of wup arse, but really I don't think anyone wants war but something does need to be done. So many options so many points of you, I don't think anyone will agree on whats the right course of action. Should we wait and see if Saddam "ever" does anything and if and when he does every one will say "I told you so" or should we act premptively and prevent the inevitable. Way too many variables for any one course of action. Kinda frustrating because no matter what is decided myself and the rest of my brothers and sisters in the military will do as we are told.

What do you guys think of this. I made it in Bryce/Poser/PS7 http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=341053&Start=1&Artist=Green%5FArmani&ByArtist=Yes I want to make it into a wall but not sure how and even then how well liked it'll be. I might just file it away somewhere in my comp. Anyway.....how bout them bears.

Green_Armani, I think it is great. Maybe turning it into to a wall you could add some fire type atmosphere under the thing he is standing on. It would blend with the glow on his face and bring it together for a wall.
I feel funny giving any tip to you, I love your work.

Bangkokboy is a texan who's as messed up as IPlural, but in this case it's having formed multiple attachments for a single personality at opposite ends of the globe. this can be a very expensive malady, BTW. methinks it would be much easier to remain immobile and have many personnae.

wow GreenArmani, that looks realy cool. Maybe put it in some kind of context? Elevator on the outside of a building within a residential complex? I don't know...I have no imagination

Naw, Keila you shouldn't feel that way. I'm far from a natural at all this and to be honest it's been a lot of hours learning what this and that does. Not to mention my wife complaining about it. Thanks for the tip

I thought about him being in front and then adding two chics...err..woman behind him on similiar platforms in this huge labrynth of a machine. Really dark and futurisitic... I think I suffer from ADD because if I can't create an image within a day or so I move on. Literally I have about 50 walls that I have started which are yet to be completed. I should give them away for someone else to finish.

Green_A: That was rhetorical. I really don't want to discuss the matter anymore.

Amazing!!!
Thats all I can say. I am at a loss for words, quite uncommon for me.

I wish I had a quarter of your talent Green_Armani. I can never make human or other organic forms.
Maybe I need a Guru like you to show me the path...

/me sits cross legged on the floor, palms on his knees, eyes closed and meditates hoping that it would make him a better artist, a bit like Green_Armani.

@shu your too much!!! I can make things like this but were I stumble is piecing it together. No good having this guy hovering over nothing.....I want to put him in a scene that blends well with his look but ARGHHHH I'm frustrated about the whole thing.

Green_Armani goes to gym to take frustration out on weights.....

Green_Armani that is damn sweet

I signed on over at Renderosity a while back just to be able to see such work as this

Kind of as a personal muse kind of thing, inspirations to pull out the artistic stuff buried deep inside all these years and your work, those like it are what has been helping these months for it to happen

I am still stuck wondering though, once I do get active again, will I have it in me to share it with others, it was always so personal a thing, everything inside came out on paper and almost always ended up hidden away in a box stuffed under my bed, in the closet, under cloths in a dresser drawer.

anyway

maybe that part will rub off also and I will get past that conditioned?/primal? fear of showing to much of whats inside

thank you for the link, going to have to browse your gallery now

My renderosity gallery is pretty much made up of fractals that I've made (my second passion behind Brycing) so that is definetley not my best there but thank you for the remarks. I've never been afraid to show people my work (if I can actually call it that) mainly because I have no shame and that I make things that I like not for others to like. If someone else finds it interesting it pleases me but it really isn't important. To be flat out honest I have only been making 3D anything since this past Thanksgiving weekend. I think I have improved a lot since then which is only about 3 months but it really has opened doors which I thought were closed to me. I actually been coming to WC for a year prior to that wondering how all of you did it and that I could never but with some patience and encouragement anyone can show their "insides" it they want.

Hope you don't mind Green_Armani, but I have a suggestion for a wallpaper for that particular rendering.

A small change though, if you could tilt the guy's head upwards and perhaps his arms wider (Kinda Christ - like), and show a few gadgets lying (or an android kneeling) by his side. It would be like the Guy is the Prophet for Geeks!!!

Hope u do not mind this mindspeak, but I have to see that piece being made into a wall!!!

I'll keep that in mind. I was thinking to have a few pewter`d women at his feet or something along those lines. I do want to put them in a labrynth of some sort but I'm gonna have to make it and that could take me a while. I'll post an update as I go along

I really like the Fractals too

for a time when I was younger I had my walls covered with black light posters of em and they always just kind of pulled you into them.

One spiraled in and had a guy in a blue three piece suit who was floating up out of it, or down into it depending on how you looked at it, his head was an Egg

I don't get the point to all this GUI modification stuff. Where does it all stop? Why do people upload crap that doesn't work completely or hasn't been checked. The focus should be on efficiency and effectiveness of the OS, not the fancy colors and buttons. And whilst I'm ranting, where the hell is window blinds 4 that I've been hearing about since I wasted my money 4 months ago? It's nice that people have a place to express their talents, but it really does not achieve anything but slowing your computer down. Every time I reboot my computer, it has to kill window blinds. My thoughts, not yours.

Whoaa..werent we talking about our nicknames??
G_A, that design its really awesome. The idea of the women around or at the base of the male figure sounds great. Follow up on the detail of the fire reflexion on his face. I cant wait to see the finished result.
By the way, those who wonder about my nick,... well is a long and alcohol enduced story back in my teenage yrs. I have always been facinated with the book of Apocalypse of the Holy Bible (Im not a religious fanatic) so, when I got my 1st PC back in--I forgot what yr-- I used the nickname Apocalypse (remembering that day we got drunk) I later added the 67, which is the yr I was born, due to the fact that lots of the sites I have joined, the nickname was been used.
