What's your Nick?

What's your Nick?

Alright, I've gotten quite a few people ask me why are you calling yourself Green_Armani. The answer is that I'm a Marine and being far from a corporate environment my old commanding officer would give us a pep talk at our weekly formations. He would talk about this and that, and he would always say "It's not easy to come to work and put on this green armani suit" The thing is, he wasn't talking about an expensive 3 peice suite, but rather our camaouflage uniform. So, having said all that I was really thinking hard for a good nick and it just hit me to use that. Anyone else wanna say how they came up with their nick? Come one what else do you have going on

Years ago I was playing a computer game and since I was the only one playing I kept having to put my name alone in the highest scores entries. I started making up variations on my name and came up with several (including JamMeister) so it wouldn't all be just one name. Then later, when I started on the internet (with AOL, yucchh) I discovered that all of my
nicks were already being used by someone so I tacked a 33 on the end of JM and there ya go....

I cracked the screen on my Casio E-200 a month ago and I barely had it a year. It was in a case and in my front pants pocket. Called Casio and they want 200 bucks to replace screen. Damn !!

I think HP discontinued the Jornada. I never had one but I like the way they look.

"JAFO" is Airforce/Navy derogatory slang for an Observer [co-pilot]. [The movie "Blue Thunder" with Roy Scheider made reference to the term].

I've worked as an FIA Observer[communications] Official at the Australian Grand Prix for the past 24 years [and the 500 Motorcycle Grand Prix], not to mention the first Nascar race outside the U.S., hence the name.

BTW, JAFO = Just Another F***ing Observer.
[PPL only ever seem to be aware of the Trackside Flag Marshals, and any other Trackside Officials go un-noticed.]...

Yeah those HP guy's discontinued it about 4 months after I bought it. Come to think of it, when I bought the Dreamcast, those guy's at Sega stop selling it about a week later. I just don't have any luck

To make a long story short, I grew up in foster care. I was found at 6 months old left in my play pin for a little over 2 weeks most people wondered how I survived with no food or water. Every 3 to 6 months I was moved from one place to another. Each family I went to they all said the same thing you don’t have a family so you’re not a real boy, you should feel lucky you’re here. Some family’s tied me up at night in a sitting position and one family hung me up with a barbed wire from a fence, I came across a book in the school library about Harry Houdini so I became an escape arties. Thank God for that because one family thru me in a frozen over pond they said no one would miss me and the money would still come in they would think I was just playing on the pond and fell in but from that book I learned that you can breath the air between the ice and water, there are air pockets. Then there are the family’s that beat or stabbed me so I learned medical how to stitch my self up and so forth. One family thru me in the tub and boiled my legs and feet then they went out to dinner and from the medical books I learned you can tie panty hose around your self and dip in cold water I crawled on my hands for 23 blocks to the hospital. Then came the survival training I got from being forgotten by social services and left on the street to fend for my self that lasted 3 years. And I learned psychology from my own experiences and from watching, talking, and analyzing every thing from people like you all who come from perfect homes, abusive homes, broken homes, etc. I spent most of my life just watching you all from the way you act, the words you use, what you do say what you don’t say, and figured out why and the reasons you did things they way you do. I learned law from getting my self emancipated from foster care at the age of 16. There is much more but about 4 years ago I got my first computer and found my way to excite chat and got to know people and they all said from hearing a lot of what I have seen and done that I should change my nick to pretender so I did and have used that nick with every thing I do.

hey, you made it, there is one similar of mind to some extent I would guess with us, Silence... the observer...

Pretender fits

Pretender's are also a hell of a band with one song that always hit me as real "A night in my veins"

which also *seems* to fit

I beg your pardon madame. Such shows of open affection on a public board are often open to complaint. Please curb yourself or go to the Fantasyland thread where such intentions can be explained to all as some sort of full moon inspired lunacy. >

Actually my name is Abhishek, which means 'anointing'. But my family and friends call me Ashu, which is a twist on Asha meaning 'hope'.

Decided to switch the 'a' in ashu with '@'. So here it is, @shu.
My wif thought since the sign @ usually means "at", she thought your name was pronounced "atshu" like a sneeze or something. Now I can tell her "see I told you you were wrong"

Cerebro is the awesome computer from X-men. Thats my nick for my computer and the JD part is my initials. Thats about it but I think cerebro is such a cool word. No big story there.

Keila is my one of my dogs names so no story here.
Not very creative but I have yet to forget the name when I log on to something.
Now is I can just remember the other dogs name so I can get into all those other accounts.

That's what my sis calls me Green_Armani. She calls me 'atshoo' as in a sneeze. Sometimes she calls me 'aasoo' which means tears.

/me sneezes.

The irony is, I have a severe cold right now.

/me sneezes again.

So I am sneezing and there are tears in my eyes!!!

As a child, I was ripped apart and almost killed by a lycanthrope, and so, natural genetic manipulation being what it is, I have social problems once a month
