Selling the game

.

I personaly do not like the game but have a friend who wants to buy it from me. How do I do that without givving them access to my stardock account through having to give them my Impulse password. The game has already been registered is there a way I can undo this?

you can sell them the game, they will have to buy their own serial from stardock unless you contact stardock and work it out

from the eula:

YOU MAY NOT:

2. Sublicense, rent, lease or transfer your personal serial number without express written consent from Stardock.

Uh. You're legally allowed to do this? You guys think Stardock would actually assist someone in doing this? I was under the impression that this sort of thing is not condoned by companies. I mean, why would they help you do this? What's in it for them? Good PR and word of mouth??

You know publishers dont like gamestops used game policy because they dont make any money off of the resale of used games, wich is essentially exactly the same thing as this guy is asking so i dont know why it would be illeagle; the only thing that would be illeagle about resale of bought software would be copying or saving a hardcopy on your harddrive and then saling it. The used game industry makes a massive chunk of change. The only reason this is different is that it is a digital downloaded game and im guessing those guys who bought the retail box had to link it to thier impulse account using thier CD-Key or some other sort of activation so i dont know how you go about doing that but no i dont see why it should be a big deal.

Umm,...  StarDock will lose money by doing thing like this.  What is confusing?

I remember vaguely that way back in time Brad said they were working on an official way to sell on your games through impulse.

Said they might not make any money through re-sales but more people would be willing to try out a game in the first place if they can make some money back by selling it on if they don't like it.

None of that is implemented yet as far as I know, don't even know if they still about it think that way .

Yes but in this model, the seller did not get all their money back.  It only applied to didgital purchases.  Also, the developer made money from the second sale.  None of which apply to the above case.

Yes but all publishers/developers lose money from people trading in thier used games anyways, im just saying its not that uncommon or that out of bounds to request and deffenately not illeagle.
